Logan Lanes is turning 50 years old. For being this old its in super shape. No smoking or drinking, it very family friendly. There employees are helpful and there machines don't break down. There cafe has great food and drinks prepared fresh when ordered.

Beaver Mountain is one of the best kept secrets as far as skiing goes in Northern Utah. It's a small resort, and because of it's location-it's not as busy as the larger resorts; the prices are also a lot better. However, it doesn't lack because of size-the snow is wonderful, the lifts are up to date and well kept, staff are knowledgeable, and the runs are well kept. I'd almost prefer skiing here than a more expensive resort a few hours away.
It's worth the trip!

The Eccles theatre is world famous. They host a lot of show throughout the year and the majority of them are very high quality. The prices, while not necessarily unreasonable for theatre, are high. However, they offer a lot of discounts to Utah State University students. It is the place to go to get a high quality theatre experience. The building is very pretty and unique as well.

It's so nice being able to see some of the good old classics on the big screen. Nothing beats watching Gone with the Wind, or White Christmas in the theater. This theater also holds film festivals where you can watch the entire collection of Indiana Jones or Back to the Future and I've heard rumors that it will be a new venue sight for the famed Sundance Film Festival. The interior of the theater is beautiful too and I've heard that they are planning on making it even nicer inside. So if you're into the classics don't miss out on your chance to see them as they were meant to be seen.
Pros: Classic films you might not get to see on the big screen brought to life for all to enjoy as they were meant to be seen
Cons: Restrooms are a little out dated and difficult to get to

Sponsored by the university, the Old Lyric Reparatory Theater features musicals and plays during the summer. It’s in a unique old building and the smaller performance room can create an intimate atmosphere, especially when the actors interact with the audience. Students often act in the performances. I did not particularly care for the last two performances I saw there, but I have enjoyed performances there in the past. Many discounts are available (like for students), and ticket prices are reasonable.

KSM guitars is a good business. They sell quality equipment and it doesn’t feel as if they are unreasonable in their prices. All the employees seem to have a good knowledge of the instruments and the equipment. However, that knowledge can work against the customer because I have encountered situations in which I know what I want but an employee has strong opinions about other equipment and they try to sell me things that I’m not interested in. They need a wider selection of equipment as well.

The Eccles Ice Center is a lot of fun. It’s in a nice, new, large building. The rink is Olympic-sized and they even had Olympians practice there during the winter Olympics. It has never been extremely busy when I have gone, and it is nice to have a lot of space when you skate. It is managed well and the ice is nicely manicured. The rental skates are in really good condition. The Eccles Ice Center is brightly lit and it has a pleasant atmosphere. This is a different, inexpensive (under $5) activity for a family to enjoy.

The Willow Park Zoo has made some big improvements recently – they have just built an education center. There are mostly birds at the Will Park Zoo, but they also have turtles, elk, pronghorns, a bobcat, wallabies, deer, and some other critters. It is really inexpensive. There is a fifty cent fee that collected on an honor system; there’s no formal collection. There’s a big pond where you can feed huge trout and birds. Bring change if you go to this zoo. The only problem I’ve had with this zoo is that some of the cages seemed a little small and the animals looked bored (like the bobcat cage).
