The first time I visited this store I had my 2 year old daughter with me. I was trying to keep her from handling everything and the salesman (who it turns out was the owner) instructed me that children are allowed and expected to play freely in his store. I have also gone in with my husband, who is equally entranced with the toys and the two of us delighted in the chance to indulge our inner child. Last Christmas I did my toy shopping at Magical Moon Toys versus previous years shopping at the big box stores and online. They carry a wonderful selection of toys in all genres, ages, and prices. I had been looking into the popular "Melissa & Doug" wooden toys online. I felt I hit the jackpot to be able to go right into the store, see the items firsthand, pay the same affordable price and no shipping. I asked one of the salesgirls what they carried as far as the rugs or mats with town scenes for driving toy cars on. She told me that they didn't carry any at the current time because none of the mats on the market were sturdy and stable enough to meet the Owners standards. She went on to recommend a good alternative. I was really impressed at her knowledge of the products and their quality. I will do my toy shopping here from now on. Hooray for Magical Moon Toys!

This store has a lot of good stuff, and a lot of things I would like to play with, but the people there got mad when we tried to play with the toys. They were afraid we would break them. They would only let kids play with the toys. The toys were cool though.

Magical Moon Toys is a lot of fun, even for adults. It’s filled with all sorts of unique toys for all ages, like musical instruments, educational games, puppets, and my favorite recent purchases, hoppy taws and potato pellet guns. They have a section that has very inexpensive interesting items (temporary tattoos, slime, plastic animals) that would make great birthday party gifts. The employees are extremely helpful too – I had to make an exchange and the employee was happy to do it. It’s a lot of fun to browse at this store if you have a free afternoon. I highly recommend this store.
