Recently my car's tires needed an alignment, and I was referred to Brakes Plus to do the job. Plus, I had a coupon for $8 off, and that helped me choose Brakes Plus.
Well, while I thought my car's tires were almost done being aligned, a mechanic called me over. He told me that he wasn't even able to align my tires at all, since there was something bent under my car.
At first, I thought he was trying to rip me off by getting me to ask him to do more work on my car. But then he told me to come take a look. Sure enough, under my car something was bent, and it needed to be replaced.
I didn't know what to do, so I asked him to wait till I talked to my husband. He waited. When I couldn't reach my husband that moment, he waited some more. Finally I reached my husband, and the mechanic got on my cell phone and told my husband all about the problem. This made me feel so much better.
The part got replaced and the tires were then aligned. I recommend this Brakes Plus, because the mechanic was very understanding with me and took care of my car - which is doing just fine now, by the way.

My family uses AAA for several different services.
First of all, my husband has a membership to AAA. The Basic AAA Membership allows him to call for roadside assistance, whether that be to change a flat tire, to bring gas, to tow his car (up to 4 miles), as well as provide other services and discounts. If we wanted, he could add me on to the membership for about half the price he pays.
Secondly, we use AAA for car insurance; the AAA price is a bit lower than our former car insurance company in Denver.
Before we go on vacation, we visit AAA to pick up a free guide for our destination. AAA has many different travel guides to choose from - there's an entire free section for AAA members!
Also, AAA offers Home and Life Insurance, but we aren't currently using these services for no particular reason.
So, you may want to consider using some AAA services - they have been rather helpful for us.

First, we have found that it really pays to have A shop work on our car. In the past, I have used a place for brakes, a place for the oil change, a place for major repairs, etc. In the end, we believe that our car is safer when we have just one shop working on it. We have developed trust and respect for our automotive tech.
When we were going to multiple shops, we found that the techs tended to just "throw parts" at our problems. In the end, we paid more (for a lot of unnecessary parts) and had more costly down time. The real value in an auto tech is in his ability to correctly diagnose and repair a problem the first time. We found a place that does that.
Our guy is Dave Hansen of Colorado Car Clinic. Burt Subaru is across from his shop, 5311 S. Broadway in Littleton. Dave owns the place. The phone number for reservations is 303-730-0055.
At first glance, they may seem to be a little bit more expensive than the chains and discount repair shops, but you can save a small fortune when you have the problem correctly diagnosed and expertly repaired on the first visit. We don't want to go to the CHEAPEST doctor, and we wouldn't feel safe using a CHEAP mechanic to fix our car!

My sister had a problem for a while with her car’s cooling system. The car kept overheating, and although she had replaced most of the parts in the cooling system, she decided that the fan clutch had malfunctioned. She had gotten the fan clutch at Napa, so she simply called them and arranged to exchange it under warranty. Napa didn’t try to contest her claim that the fan clutch was bad, nor did they patronize her as car places often do to women. When Napa states a warranty on one of their parts, you can trust that they are good for their word!

The few times I've been in to Car Toys were all good experiences for me. The salespeople were helpful and friendly, as well as knowledgeable.
My husband and I went in to try to buy a cell phone. Unfortunately, Cingular does not allow its customers to buy and add a new phone line out of state, but the poor guy at Car Toys did all he could (including arguing with Cingular) to help us get our phone. We didn't get it, but that is beside the point since this review is about Car Toys.
Car Toys would be a good place to buy a new cell phone (in your home state for Cingular), a car stereo, and other toys for your car.

One of the things I dread the most is car shopping. My husband and I started the search at a few places around Denver. We finally decided we were going to buy a Volvo. This brought us to a couple dealerships in the area. Finally we made our way to McDonald Automotive. WOW...what a breath of fresh air. Yes, they are still car dealers, but they lack the pushiness and fakeness of most.
We walked out of this dealership with anew car and a new look at shopping for cars.
A few days later we received a nice thank you note in the mail. Yes, he made money off of us, but I have never received a note from any other car salesman. Hats off to them!

Peak Kia sold me a car that lasted one and a half months and 940 miles. I had it in the shop twice in three days. Both times I was told by the mechanics that these were pre-existing conditions. When the car over heated because of a faulty fan and the motor needed to be replaced, I was told there was nothing Peak Kia could or would do. The warranty was useless and I was treated very rudely by the person who sold me the car. I left a message for the owner of Peak Kia to call me back and never heard from him. I was assured by three member of the staff at Peak Kia that I was getting a car that was in good condition. I am now responsible for the loan of a car that I cannot afford to put anymore money into and cannot drive. I had made one payment on this car. I guess they saw me coming.

I took my SUV in to have the brakes looked at and they gave me a quote for $660 for new brakes on the front, 1 new rotor on the front, 1 brake for the rear (this does not make sense since brakes pads come in sets of 2) and 1 new rotor for the rear. I called around and found a quote for under $300 for the same service. Before using this place please make sure to have a second look or you will be overpaying.

This AAA store is located just north of SW Plaza in Littleton, CO. It is convenient, has great personnel both in person and on the phone. I have ordered trip tickets for years there and picked up maps. They are fast and accurate. The store also has a good selection of travel accessories such as suitcases, briefcases, travel pillows, voltage converters for overseas, etc.
