Loved the tour. Loved the white wines...was not impressed with the reds, except the port which is very nice. The tour guide through the wine making process was knowledgeable and did her best to answer off the wall questions.
It was also nice having the vineyard's canine mascot greeting all the guests to the winery, and occasionally popping up during your walk through the grapes.

the best pizzeria I've been to. They do not sell pizza by the slice like in New York, but they have small pies enough for 1 or 2 people. They make a very tasty vegetarian pie, and have awesome hero's (grinders). Very clean!! service was good as well.

I have been to events catered by Wilma including small dinner parties, weddings, holiday parties and memorial services. Her food is consistently the best around. Her menu is diverse and she is willing to accomodate special requests. Wilma is very straight forward, but her wait and cooking staff are always professional, clean and personable. I would recommend them highly for all events both small and large.
Pros: Fabulous food, professional staff
Cons: Limited travel area

Sakonnet Vineyards in Little Compton, RI is a great place to go for a picnic and wine tasting. This winery is located down a winding road off of the main road, and is easy to find. The wines are pretty decent, especially for Rhode Island, and most of the grapes are grown on site. In the summer, they have a little counter that sells cheese platters and sandwiches, and you can eat at the tables around the lawn.
