I went here recently for a family celebration. We were seated in the middle, which I think may have been a mistake. I don't know if the seating arrangement was an oversight on the part of the restaurant or my family that did not request to be seated in a special area. It gets very crowded here and there is not much isle room or room (space) between tables.
The food itself was great, hearty portions for fair prices. The service was very good but my brother did not think so and made it known to them.
It is in the same spot where the restaurant Bones used to be so I think they are carring on the rib/chicken "thing" very well. I did not have the ribs but they did look delicious.
A very poplular place- perhaps too popular if you want a quiet dining experience; it's quite loud in there and some of their clientel (on the night I was there) lacks class.
You can check them out at www.lwoodsrestaurant.com

My wife and I went to the "Lettuce Entertain You" (a Chicago chain) restaurant a few weeks ago.
This restaurant was dong a great business on Friday noght and it took aroubd 45 minutes to be seated.
We weren't disappointed. My wife had very tasty baby back ribs with a dry rub. I had their signature burger, which was also tasty. I had calamari as an appetizer, which was done correctly, if a bit over-breaded. The service was very nice
The restaurant is actually called L.woods Pine Lodge and has an ambiane of a lodge.
We had a nice time and will be going back again.

I don't know what it is about this place, but as soon as winter comes around, I always feel like going here. It is a bit far from the city, but it is definitely worth the drive. This place makes you feel like you are right at home. Their menu features traditional American fare, including many sandwich and salad options. The service here is good, even when this place gets really crowded. They might get a bit slow, but they will always serve you fresh food that tastes amazing. I would really recommend the ribs and flat bread sandwiches here. This place is definitely worth the drive.

The restaurant known as L. Woods does not have an easy parking lot to negotiate. I will state that right up front because it is something important you should know. Wedged near the point of a kind of triangle formed by a diagonal street the size of the parking lot is not really compatible with the size of the crowd that usually lines up at this restaurant.
Once you get inside, however, this is one of the finest dining experiences you will have in Chicago. If you live in or around Chicago and have not been or if you are planning on visiting Chicago you need to visit this restaurant. The location is 7110 N. Lincoln Avenue in Lincolnwood Illinois.
The food is fanatastic. The Creamed Spinach is renowned and the barbecue is really first rate. I recomment the barbecued salmon, but many people swear by the ribs. The appetizers alone are usually enough of a meal for some people.
The atmosphere is very friendly and cozy. Once again space can be a bit of an issue and you might have to squeeze by a few people to get to your seats.
You must visit L. Woods and you must do it soon.
