My mother-in-law purchased her engagement ring from Glitters and had a good experience, so she referred me to them as well for my engagement ring needs. The first visit went fine, not a huge selection a rings, but nonetheless, we customized a solitare engagement ring with a separate wedding band. My husband purchased it and when he finally proposed and presented me with the ring, it did not look anything like it did in the store. The solitare was princess cut, and the diamonds in the wedding band were supposed to be princess cut and match; however, they filled it round diamonds. Not to mention that the mounting they put on it was horrific and ugly. Our sales gal told us we had 6 weeks to return the ring, no questions asked. Time passed by quickly, but I managed to bring in the ring a little over 30 days later. And still, in those 30 short days, the ring managed to discolor and become yellow! The owner of the store (now deceased, but she was an extremely cranky old woman) told me she refused to take it back because it was beyond 30 days. I told her what our sales gal told me about their return policy and she said I was lying. She then remarked, "You ring isn't certified anyway!" I said, "It better be! We have the papers to prove it!" I argued with her, but it got me no where. I asked if we could exchange it for something else, and the answer was "no." I never went back. Since then, my mother-in-law has gone in a few times, and has said that they have been really rude to her as well! So, that makes two of us that are never going back to that store! A few years later, and I'm still wearing a ring that I don't like!
Cons: Terrible customer service, poor selection, did not honor their word.
