We are shopping around now for plants for our front beds. Redoing all of our landscaping. All the nurseries are doing 70% off now. Houston Palm had the prettiest and healthiest plants we saw anywhere. You could tell that they really take care of their plants and we saw multiple workers out and about taking care of them. We also passed by one day and it was pouring rain out and they were all still out there in raincoats/pants/boots. There were people all around to help if you needed it. We were impressed with this. Their prices were a little higher than some of the others around, but if you want quality service and plants I don't think you will be disappointed here.

We love Helen Hall Library. The storytimes with crafts are great and my children really enjoy them. They have a good selection of books all around, but be aware that this is a small library. The summer reading programs for the kids are good too. They had good prizes for them. We love that there is no limit and that you can also renew everything online. Alot more convenient. If you're around, stop in.

Wow! We were so happy when one of these opened in Houston and even happier when one opened by Baybrook Mall! Freebirds is a place where you go in and begin by selecting a tortilla. From there you tell your builder what to add to your burrito. From meats, to cheeses, to beans and rice, to veggies and sour cream, the possibilities are endless! And the outcome is always delicious! If you are really, really hungry, try the monster size. My husband did once, and he paid for it. I don't think he'll do it again. It's HUGE!!!!
Also for fun, take your foil and make something out of it. You can leave it on display in the restaurant. Fun!

This broker will find a loan suitable for your needs at the best rate possible. In our case, they went out of their way to make it happen for us quickly. We had to close by a certain date. When they realized that the bank they were using wasn't going to meet the deadline, they found us one that would and the rate didn't increase. The broker we used was a no-nonsense kind of person and didn't like to be pestered, but she got the job done. We were very pleased.

I have been VERY pleased with all the Whataburger locations in the area. I have to eat wheat bread and am SO pleased that they offer it at no extra charge. These are some of the best burgers and the fries are great too. The only complaint I would have is that it takes forever sometimes to get your order. So if you're in a hurry, you may want to go elsewhere.

I contracted Majestic Ventures for my 40th Birthday celebration. The owner's claim was that he offered the best value for your money in League City. After searching around, I did find that I could save more with this company.
The decor on the yacht needs updating, and clients are not allowed to remove the plastic flowers and grapevines hanging on the boats. If you’re inspecting the boats during the day, you’ll definitely conclude that the company needs a new interior decorator on staff. I was told that at night, the interior creates a romantic and cozy atmosphere. I did find this to be the case. After sunset, the tacky, glittery center pieces won’t be such a distraction.
I found that information such as final count for guests, contact information for DJ and videographer had to be repeated. I was told that the company wanted to “take things off my plate,” but I found that it was necessary for me to follow up with staff members. For instance, prior to my event, the DJ I hired was taken to the wrong boat. It was the small blunders that made me question this company’s ability to organize an event and its level of professionalism.
The most disturbing part of my interaction with Majestic Ventures, however, was the night of my event with a Captain Tim. I found this captain’s tone and demeanor both unprofessional and demeaning. He even used profanity with the videographer I hired. When I contacted the owner, Captain John, about this, he seemed to be hesitant to understand the implications of keeping someone like Captain Tim on his team. The staff serving food was kind and attentive. However, it appeared that there did not have sufficient utensils, such as serving spoons, etc. I paid to have my birthday cake cut and found that the cake was served on plastic plates and with plastic forks. Tasteless! The dealers and the bartender were fabulous and fun.
I cannot in good faith recommend Majestic Ventures for your event. If you want a classy and stress-free event, consider another company. It is indeed true that you pay for what you get. Pay a bit more, and get the event you are dreaming of.

The food here is okay, nothing special, but not bad either. But for a family run place, they aren't very mindful of customer satisfaction. I stopped by on my way to work one night, and I wanted to get a full meal(main course, egg roll, soup) not just the main course restaurants usually serve in the evening. I came in 10 minutes after the lunch special time was over. Asked if I could still get a lunch special to take to work with me. They said no, it was too late. Come on! 10 minutes? Oh well, that will be my last time to stop there.
Pros: Clean facilities, prompt service
Cons: Not customer service minded
