Mely's is mexican food at its best in the League City area. It's been a constant in my life since I moved down here two years ago.
Their green sauce is great. It has a nice creaminess that offsets the little bit of heat that is present. My favorite dish to get at Mely's is the Pollo Poblano (Chicken with Poblano peppers). Its flavorful and always cooked to perfection. My friends who have eaten there have enjoyed the chicken enchiladas, and the Alex's Supper which serves two.
Their ultimate margaritas are the best if you like frozen margaritas. They do not skimp on the Tequila Antiqua. There's a shot poured over the frozen mix as well as a small shot tube in the center of the drink. Two of these are more than enought to get you buzzed.
The service is always good and I haven't had to wait when I've gone there.

I don't know where the bad reviewers ate, I have been going to Mely's for years and never had bad service. The food is always fresh and good. I have been at different times of the day and the service has always been gracious and attentive. I have several friends that love their black bean enchiladas. Their queso with their fresh pico de gallo can't be beat. I had a pork dish the last time I was there, I think it was pork fajitas/al carbon with grilled pineapple and it was fabulous. Also, they serve all their plates very colorfully.

My family just moved across the street and this place is amazing! The service is excellent and the food is remarkable!! We have been over half a dozen times and every time we keeping getting wow'd by the place. The patio is excellent - and on Saturday they have live bands on the patio. They have a stuffed avocado that is absolutely out of this world good....and there's just enough spice in all their dishes (though I tried the Habanero wings and they were incredibly spicy....but I ate them all).
They're VERY family friendly and offer a wide variety of food to please basically everyone....
This is our gem in the burbs....and the kids love the birds on the patio!!
Pros: Out of this world food!
Cons: Parking on busy nights....

We have been dining at San Lorenzo's 3 to 4 times per month since they opened years ago. The same waitstaff has been there forever. The service is extremely fast and they treat you like family. You may have to wait a bit on weekends - but that is because of the excellent food and fast, friendly service. They also have a good hamburger and chicken nuggets w fries on the menu if you have a child that does'nt like Mexican food. ;)
They began at a smaller location about a half mile down the road which is still a smaller version of the Restaurant - I believe it is now called San Lorenzo Cantina and often if there is a wait at San Lorenzo's you can head on over to the Cantina and be seated right away - most of the menu items are the same - in a smaller more casual atmosphere.
There is an appetizer you must try with the chips - I can't remember what they call it but it has firm chunks of avocado and tomato - it is sooo good.
San Lorenzo's is one of our favorite restaurants - we can always count on a clean environment, friendly waiters, fast service and great tex-mex food.

This is all happened on 1/20/2009. I had been told by a friend to go there, they had a ok size parking lot. when i first walking the place. it was such a lovely place.good lighting for a couple or a family. and who know a chinese place would have a full bar too. the food we order came out just the right order. foods are nice and hot and taste very good and the staff are very friendly and helpful. when i ask about to go menu and delivery . they told me to go is nice and fast about 15 min per order-also depend on their size and amount of food. they had drivers from 5pm to 9pm. and drivers close out by 8:45pm then they do the paper work and close out for the night. so they only do delivery from 4:55pm to about 8:45pm. this is nice to know and besides who eat dinner around 9 or 10pm, way to late for me anyway.i am happy that me and my friends got a new asian-chinese place to go to now. and i am very thankful that my friend told me about this nice place!!! i would come there again for their food.

I recently decided to give La Tapa a try to enertain some clients. I was very impressed. They have an impressive wine menu with 94+ points rated wines. The service was excellent even thoug I recently heard they have had service issues in the past. I chose a bunch of tapas (small but delicious appetizer portions) and the waiter described each in detail to my clients.........Very impressive. I didn't even realize they had a full entree menu as well but the tapa concept is great for entertaining. I will definately return!!!!!!

The country home-cooked breakfasts at Cracker Barrel are the best around. Everything is freshly made, and the service is very good. There's always a crowd, but while you're waiting, the gift shop is awesome. It's a great place to find gifts, or the unusual item from yesterday and today. Eating there is always a fun experience.

the ambience of this place is cozy and laid-back, feels clean and comfortable ... although at first glance it doesn't look like an asian buffet spot .... there are no asian decorations, but instead a slightly trendy and modern-looking dining area. the buffet is quite extensive, although i have seen a better assortment elsewhere, but it won't disappoint the palette or belly. one of their highlights is the extensive sushi bar ... quite an impressive sight to see for a buffet place and the quality is surprisingly decent. the huge space is perfect for accomodating huge crowds that come here consistently.*
