Dear rsejfam4
Do us all a favor and don't dine at Gabor's any time in the future. They can do without impatient jerks like you. Their food is great and prepared when ordered not 30 min in advance like most other restaurants. It takes time to prepare GREAT food. If your not willing to wait for FRESH GREAT food then feel free to visit any one of the pre-prepared restaurants of your choice. Enjoy the lesser quality pizza and Italian dishes offered at these restaurants. Because we and several others as you are aware are willing to wait for the GREAT dishes they prepare and that makes one less customer we have to wait for. Hope you have a GREAT DAY!! Enjoy your pre prepared PIZZA!!!
Pros: GREAT FOOD, KID FRIENDLY, FRIENDLY SERVICE
Cons: NEED TO MOVE TO A BIGGER BLDG WITH MORE SEATING

I will never waste my money at Gabor's again. My family and I discovered Gabor's about 2 years ago. We have eaten there quite a bit. It's either been a good or bad. Mostly bad. We have continued to eat at Gabor's because they do have the best pizza in Layton (and the surrounding area) and good breadsticks. The other food is not so good. The lasagna is just plain awful. Their service is pretty much some of the worst I have experienced.
The staff is either sleep deprived or on some type of mind altering meds, because they seemed unable to concentrate. Dazed and confused.
The last time that we dined in at Gabor's, we had to wait for over an hour for a medium pepperoni pizza (this was on a Tuesday and their were hardly any customers). Our waiter kept coming to our table and saying "It'll be 10 more minutes," he did that about 3 or 4 times. And their take out? Horrid. I placed an order for 1 large pepperoni and 1 large order of breadsticks at 6 pm. I was told that the order would be ready at 7:15 pm. To me, an hour and 15 minutes for a pizza on a Wednesay seems a bit much. However, I wasn't really bothered by that. Just wanted to get a pizza. I arrived at Gabor's at 7:15, told the waiter guy I was there to pick up my order. Again, the waiter guy seemed a bit foggy in the brain. Says, "Hold on, lemme check." He comes back and says "It'll be just a few more minutes." I wait and wait and WAIT. 20 minutes later, I asked how much longer for the pizza. The waitress had the nerve to tell me that I came "too early" to pick up the pizza because the pick up time was 7:30. Um, no it wasn't. So I had to wait ANOTHER 10 mins. on top of the 20 mins I had already waited. So after a grand total of 1 hour and 45 minutes, I am finally handed my pizza which ends up having a burnt crust. Great.
I am officially through with Gabor's. Awful service, insane wait time and iffy pizza. I'd rather get a take and bake from Costco than eat there.
Pros: good pizza and breadsticks
Cons: Awful service, extreme wait time, quality of food is not consistant

They have the best food and pizza I've ever tasted in Utah, at least as far as I've tasted. Everyone there is very frienldy and it's sort of like family. It's kind of like a mom and pop shop. They have the best homemade soups I've ever had. And their homemade breadsticks are better than Olive Gardens. The place is very small and gets very busy so get there early.
Pros: Amazing Pizza and Italian Food
Cons: Small and very busy.

Well, the food here is great. The pizza is better than any I have had since moving to Utah, and better than any I had found in California. NOT better than Chicago, or Rosatis that you will find spread throughout the southwest. BUT, please understand... it is REALLY good. It doesn't feel like it belongs in Layton, frankly.
The takeout service is a freaking joke. One time I ordered a pizza at 6:10. I was told it would be ready at 7:10. I showed up at 7:10 and proceeded to wait FORTY more minutes for my pizza + salad. When I opened the pizza up I found it was COLD. So, was it actually done at 7:10 and I waited 40 mins for my salad? I'll never know.
Last time I ordered at 5:30, was told it would be ready by 6:15. I showed up at 6:15, took it home, and again, it was COLD already.
The apparent problem is the place is REALLY busy, especially for a building that seems roughly 700 square feet. I just don't think they can handle the amount of customers they have.
Pros: Excellent Pizza, Salads, Breadsticks, the whole menu
Cons: Poor Takeout service, Cramped building
