Very short notice on the restaurant closing, especially when they had Dining Deals gift certificates that did not expire until 4/30/2008! Unfortunately the article in the 2/27/08 edition of the AJC was too close to the closing deadline for us to use our fifty dollar certificate, as my husband had the Flu.
Atlanta and Company nor Little Gardens assume any responsibility for the money we paid out.

We have gone to Little Gardens for various occasions. We love the restaurant and it is always romantic with a beautiful garden in the back. We also got married in the beautiful garden and had the reception in the ballroom. The event planner lady we had was not that great but otherwise it was the most beautiful wedding ever.

Food, service everything at Little Gardens was fantastic!! It's nice to know you don't have to go downtown to get the experience of a great restaurant. The Chef visits the table, the staff is so friendly and helpful. Tableside service was out of this world. There is something for everyone, the variety on the menu is great.

I had been to weddings at Little Gardens and always found the food to be average - just normal blah banquet food. I decided to take my parents there for their anniversary and I was so disappointed. The hostess was kind and seated us right away. We were seated and promptly served our beverages. We asked about a wine list and I guess the server was new because the "manager" came out with the list. She was very short and seemed very uninterested in being there. Just as with the weddings, the food was just mediocre. The salad dressing was runny and tasted off, the steak I ordered was overcooked and the desserts did not come from a pastry chef - more like a box of pre-ordered junk you can get at Applebees. I tried to find the manager that had so rudely greeted us earlier but as I am sure she knew I would complain she was no where to be found. Overall very disappointing and I will not be back - or recommending it for any weddings!
Pros: The hostess and server were nice
Cons: Everything else

My husband and I actually had our wedding reception at Little Gardens in 1995 and have been back many times to celebrate the occaision. We love to go look at the beautiful grounds and reminisce! When making a reservation at Little Garden's they will ask you if it is a special occasion. On our first anniversary the chef re-created the top layer of our wedding cake as a surprise! I also recommend their holiday buffet's-thanksgiving and easter.

My husband and I have dined at Little Gardens 4 times. Each time has been an evening to remember because of the spectacular service, food, and ambience. We had the same meal as the previous reviewer and it was outstanding. I have also enjoyed their veal the time before. Their wine knowledge and selection is stunning. We didn't bother to pick it out for ourselves because we trust them so much. I highly recommend this place.
Pros: delicious food, great atomosphere, superb service

When my husband and I want some place special to dine, we often choose Little Gardens Restaurant. Even as you approach the antibellum style estate with its seven dining rooms, you know this is going to be a special dining experience. Only the freshest ingredients are used in this American Continental cuisine and the meals we've had here have always been spectacular. Their house specialties, which are prepared at your table, include Caesar salad, chateaubriand and Bananas Foster - all magnificent.

The directions are correct and easy. From the moment we walked in the door of this elegant mansion we felt at home. The hostess was gracious and charming. We were seated promptly by a warm fireplace in the living room.
Our party of six enjoyed a delectable three tiered appetizer tray. The baked brie in pastry and fried green tomatoes were my favorites. Choosing from the specials and the extensive menu was a challenge.
Several of us decided to take advantage of Little Gardens table side service. The Caesars salad was outstanding. Chateaubriand tableside was prepared to perfection. We could literally cut it with a fork. Our meal was topped off with a flash of showmanship by our waiter with flaming bananas foster. All eyes in the intimate dining room were fixed on his presentation. The evening was capped off relaxing to live piano music in their quaint lounge.
Pros: Superb cuisine, Extensive wine list, Beautifull mansion
Cons: Parking lot lights

The only problem I had was getting there. The address listed by City Search was wrong The correct address is 3571 Lawrenceville Hwy NW. City Search left the NW off of the address and sent me 10 mi out of route to Tucker, Ga. The trip was still worth it. This was the best restaurant in the whole Atlanta area. Outstanding Cuisine-Great Wine List-and the Tower of Miniture ofDesserts Selections was Amazing. After dinner drinks with the jazz pionist topped off a great evening
Pros: Outstanding Cuisine, Great Lounge, Impeccable Service

We have been dining at Little Gardens since 1987. The Gibb family goes out of their way via their dedicated staff to meet you every need. The cuisine is some of the best Ive enjoyed in any city. If what I am hungry for is not on the menu, Chef David and his staff create it. Always innovative the restaurant and adjoining special event ballroom have served my family from ala Carte dining to our daughters wedding (the waterfall gardens are to die for). Hey, did I mention Ken Peterson the dining room manager has won the Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for the past three years, WOW, all of this in a Gwinnett suburb plus Jazz on Thur and Fri. Trust me, Ive dined all over this country and I thankful that Little Gardens is in my own back yard.

Pros: Fresh, unique, great wine list, fullservice bar w/jaz
