Linda and the staff at T & B were absolutly amazing. I have been to a few bridal shops in search of my bridesmaids dresses. We went in on a friday evening and Linda and I believe her daughter Megan were there to assist us in many ways. The girls were able to look around and pick out which dresses they liked and try them out, we had a little mini fashion show anyway the staff was not pushy at all they were there to help us in any possible way they could. Today, I went in my my fiance to look at tux's there were two other brides there as well, even though she was busy she still made it a point to come check on us and even write up our order even though we aren't getting married for a few months but by then it will be prom season. She went out of her way to ensure us that by doing this now may help prevent less confusion later on. Again the ladies were so helpful and have made my wedding expirence that much better. I know alot of people have said some horrible things about the previous owner/manager but the ladies are truly great to work with and I definatly reccommend going there!!! Cons: Parking

I am proud to say that I am buying my beautiful wedding dress from Thoughts and Best Wishes. My dress was one of the dresses on display at the Colonie Center Mall (second floor-near Boscov's). Linda and Andrea are the new proud to be owners of Thoughts and Best Wishes. I never visisted the store prior to this new year. So I can say I never knew or heard of the old owners. But from the reviews I've read of the old owners it was bad. Any way I went to several different dress shops and was thinking of dresses that I wanted to wear. My friend and I were driving by and say the shop and I said "hey lets give that one a shot?" So we went in and was greeted first thing. I had my dresses that I wanted to try on brought to the dressing room, with no limit to how many dresses I wanted. I went back a couple more times with different people then I one day Linda showed me this new dress that was very similar to the one I had on (which was going to be my dress) until this one. I tried it and it fit like a glove it was the one dress. I would have never thought to look but they knew that this dress so similar and they showed it to me...They are so wonderful, thoughtful, and very helpful. They aren't pushy at all. Andrea looked up a couple prices for me and she got right back to me with those prices and any additional information that I need. They always greet me and other customers by there name when they walk in. You can't get more personalized service than that. I love this place! My bridesmaids and my finance and his party will be getting there attire from here as well. Its a one stop shop from, gowns, to bridesmaid dresses, tuxes, to invitations, to The Piano Man right downstairs. These girls are wonderful pay them a visit and they will always greet you with a smile! Pros: great location, not pushy, sweetest people ever!

I have recently went to Thoughts and Best Wishes in Latham and was amazed by the experience. I am newly engaged and have decided to purchase all my bridesmaid dresses and my own dress from the business. Although I did not go to under old management, the new owners are very friendly and will point you in the right direction of what you are looking. There is also a wide variety of dresses to pick from. I would highly recommend this business to anyone. If you are looking for friendly service and a great experience all together, this place is excellent.

I went to T & B wishes for a friends wedding last year under the old management and it was a horrifying experience... I just recently went there for MY wedding because they are the only store in the area to carry the bridesmaid dress i was looking for... I was absolutely amazed by the change in atmopshere. We had a pleasant experience. We were helped but not overly pushed...the girls there helped us find what we were looking for and offered any assistance without seeming pushy. They helped us compare colors... and also did provide me with information on when my designers typically retired their dresses so that if I had my mind set on one I wouldn't come back and have it not be there anymore, which was nice. I am glad someone with manners and retail knowledge took over this store because it use to be a disaster but now it is a place I would go again and recommend people going to. So if you had a bad experience there in the past---beware---they have significantly improved their business!!!!! Pros: variety of designers, decent pricing, good service, no body being pushy Cons: parking....but thats uncontrollable for the location

Since thoughts and best wishes has taken new owners my dearest friend is holding all her dresses there including her very own wedding dress and i will say i have twins and they are a part of the wedding actually the flower girls and when we had them fitted it wasn't bad at all my girls are twins but completely to different sizes one is slim and tiny and one is chunky and thicker, we you can imagine my worry well these ladies who helped us we amazing and when i called about something like if something was wrong with one of the dresses which is minor but still she (the owner) was awesome and said bring it back and they will fix it at no cost to me. I am very pleased as is the rest of the wedding party and the bride to be with the help we have been recieveing. These ladies really know how to please and know what a nighmare it could be if things weren't perfect for the wedding so thank you so much to the staff and to those who have had bad experience in the past i recommend going ther know with these great people who are know in charge of the dress shop. Pros: kindness, understanding, always having a smile and compasion Cons: parking the only hell but can't help that

(Honest) Mistakes are a fact of life. A GOOD business owner knows that RECOVERY after a mistake is the most important thing they can do. One of the simplest things they teach in business school is that "It costs more to gain new customers, than to keep existing customers!". Well the owner and staff (relatives) of Thoughts & Best wishes are not very smart business people. My sister (like most Prom going girls) conducted a thorough and lengthy dress search to ensure her senior prom was a night to remember. Unfortunately for her, her memory will be tainted because of the lack of honesty and complete incompetance this establishment shows. They showed her a dress, that was the color she wanted, and somehow the "sales associate" did not know the accurate color name, and thought it was a different color. So, ONLY AFTER THEY MADE HER PAY for the dress, did they bring the dress out and to her utter horor it is NOT the color that she hand picked in the shop when she placed her order. My sister and mother have gone back there to try to come to terms, and the owner and staff have been nothing been rude and difficult. After my sister was bullied in to continuing with her alterations for fear of being charged a "fine" for not going through with her alteration appointment, my mom called to stop all alterations. She was told that some had already been done, and that they would stop all alterations, and there would be no charge for what was done (which a GOOD business person would do something like that to try and make ammends). Well, when they showed up to pick up the dress ALL of the alterations had been done, and now the owner's story has changed, and they owe her $ for the alterations. To get things over with, they were paid, and took the dress. This horrendous establishment needs to learn a lesson in customer service. Pros: None Cons: Incompetent, Rude and Untruthful Staff and Owner

This was quite possibly the worst prom dress experience ever.. it was every girl's nightmare!!!! This year is my senior prom and after searching for a dress i found the perfect dress that I loved so very much then I ordered the dress and payed the down payment of $170.00 and they took my measurements. After 2 months of waiting my dress finally came in. I was very excited about this. I went for my first "fitting" and i went to try my dress on and I saw the tag and knew what was coming next. They ordered me a dress that was 3 sizes too small!!! I went out with my dress on and the owner said to me " oh hun it's the same size as the one that you tried on 2 times here." i then replied with "BOTH times that i tried that dress on i couldnt even zip up the back because it was TOO SMALL!!!" then the owner tells me that the seamstress MIGHT be able to take it out!!! after taking the dress off the owner came over to my mom and i and said "the seamstress is ONLY going to charge us $30.00 to take it out.. and that we still have to pay the other $170.00 payment today." Any HONEST owner of a half-way descent company would have offered to cover the $30.00 charge since THEY screwed up and ordered me a dress 3 sizes too SMALL!!!! she didn't even offer to pay for the dress to be taken out or to order a dress in the right size. Oh and the owner is extremely rude and just mean if you go in on a semi busy day. i would suggest to everyone to not give this woman business. And IF YOU WANT YOUR DRESS TO ACTUALLY FIT YOU DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Pros: NOTHING Cons: the owner, and the fact that they can't order a dress in the right size, even with measurements!!!!!

this is a terrible place to go for anything! I am a bridesmaid and we all went there to pick out our dresses and get measured, which we did. when the dresses finally came in not one fit any of us they ordered the dresses way to big!!! Mine fell to the floor when i put it on! the owner of the store is the most rudest person i have ever met when we tried to tell her they were all wrong she insisted that no they are not and went on to tell one of the girls with us that she was just too big for the dress!! mind u we were all measured before hand right?! as we are there of course now everyone has to have alterations done which of course MORE MONEY! and when we were trying to say where we needed them takin in our hemmed the owner was just yelling about everything to where one of us decided to take the dress to a totally different seamstress! which we shouldnt have had to do in the first place and this was only becuase the owner told her she wasnt going to do what the girl wanted done to the dress!! about 2 weeks later we go bk after alterations are done and wouldnt ya know it mine still dont fit right! still too big so now we are down to 2 weeks before the wedding and i still have no dress but they are saying it will be ready (we will see) its just a very bad experience we all had there!! and would never ever send anyone!

Horrible staff! Purchased a prom dress in March. Had fitting on April 06, 2007 didnt get dress back until May 15 prom is May 18. Staff NEVER returned any phone calls from me regarding the dress, left at least 50 messages. Manager was extremely rude and disrespectful. The dress alterations were not done, the length was not altered, the beads on the dress are all falling off, the zipper is broke. I called the manager to address my concerns with the prom being 2 days away and she stated"I don't know what to tell you". She also stated that they are not responsible for the alterations. It is two days before the prom and we have no dress. We paid $325 for the dress and had to pay $50 cash for the alterations. Never once did they apologize or offer to fix the dress. I don't recommend this place to anyone and I hope that noone has to experience what we are experiencing. My daughters prom is ruined!!!! I now have to try to find a new dress in 2 days for the prom. I don't have the money to be doing this. They have extremely bad customer service and they act like it is no big deal that the zipper is broke on the dress. Don't go there!!! Pros: NONE Cons: Thumbs down!!!!!!
