I've been going to Yoshi for at least 10 years now every tuesday for the best sushi. This restaurant is small but nice and the food is always fantastic. The owners, Yoshi and his wife run this exceptional japanese restaurant. I truly think Yoshi Sushi has the best sushi in Latham, Ny.
Pros: Best sushi in the Capital District.
Cons: Sometimes there is a long wait for takeout but this is rare.

It's effing delicious! The fish is always fresh and the prices are fair. The lunch box special is an especially good deal for the amount of food you get, plus you always get to try something new with the "chef's choice" piece of sushi. Yoshi does a good job and the food is really authentic. He constructs the rolls with wasabi, so be prepared for a little zing.
Pros: food, prices, service
Cons: small place, not a lot of decor

I am Japanese and am always on a mission to look for authentic Japanese food and sushi. Because this restaurant is run by Japanese people, the sushi is seemingly authentic. However, I've had better. The menu is dominated by sushi which is great for sushi lovers, but if you are looking for a wide variety then this may not be the place for you to go. The sushi is... okay. Authentic? Yes. Extremely good? Eh - it's average. We were there on a Saturday night and the restaurant was not packed but we still had to wait close to an hour for our sushi.

Yoshi is a small sushi bar designed mostly for take out. But to go in is very nice as well. I have been to many sushi restaurants around the area and if you only care about the sushi and not the ambience, then Yoshi is the place to go. The sushi is one of the best around the tri city area, and the price makes it all the more worth it. So if you like to eat sushi at home with the honey, or enjoy a wuant place to eat with happy servers, then this is your place to go.
