Even though we were not staying here, we stayed next to it at Polo Towers, we spent most of our time here. They have a great varitey of shops in the Deserts Passage, a Starbucks... a plus when you've been up all night gambling. And the best Pai Gow dealers we met on the strip. The Aladdin always had at least 2-3 tables open too. Unlike other casino's who would only have one, and no places to sit and join. The dealers were all really nice as well. One day we spent 8 hours sitting at one table, rotating through awesome friendly dealers. We were winning and having a ball.

I went to this resort for a conference and was pleased that it was far enough away from the strip to avoid the tourist crowd but close enough to reach the great shopping and restaurants nearby. They have an absolutely beautiful pool and fountain as well as great conference rooms. I never had a problem getting what I needed.

My dog, Wolf, loves it here. He is a regular day care dog and also goes for boarding when I travel. The staff is amazing and I feel like they truly love him like I do. He has so much fun playing with the other dogs. He is treated so well and they welcome my "check-in" calls. As with any daycare for your "child", they are bound to catch a cold or get a little scratch while they're having fun; oh...and maybe even roll in some yucky stuff! OMG! (smile) Everyone has been wonderful about taking care of him no matter what. I never worry about him while I'm gone b/c I know he is in good hands and having fun. He is excited to go, excited to get picked up and when we get home he is so pooped he sleeps from the moment he gets home till the next morning! Be advised, doggie daycare isn't for every dog, so make sure it's right for yours BEFORE you leave your pup for multiple days. If you do, this is definitely the place.
Pros: 24 hr staff, socialization, fabulous dog-loving people
Cons: it's a little pricey, but well worth it for peace of mind

Amerisuites was just what we were looking for .. We booked VERY last minute - literally the night before our stay - and had no problems. Their customer service is just a bit lacking but overall pretty good considering I saw the same poor guy there for what looked to be a 10-12 hour shift. He was a bit rude towards the end of the night - but honestly I would have been too.
We were able to get a last-minute Friday / Saturday night SUITE stay for only $170 a night - which was the cheapest we could find that wasn't sold out.. All the other hotels watned $300 - $400 a NIGHT .. so we almost had to cancel our trip until we found Amerisuites.. It's nothing special but for us it worked.
We had the suite which had free internet, little fridge and table, desk area, plus a couch, plus 2 beds for us 2 couples.. It was pretty big and we didn't feel too crowded.. Everything was clean, quiet, and comfortable.. I had trouble sleeping but that was just me in hotels I never sleep good. Everyone else had no trouble and the beds were comfy. We had an OK view of the Stratosphere and that lower part of the Strip.. SOME rooms have a better view -but don't expect one.. It's about 3 blocks away.. You COULD walk in a pinch if you don't mind walking..
Breakfast "buffet" was about as expected for these chains.. One thing I liked was that it had waffle batter and a waffle maker - which I haven't seen before. There was room service but we didn't try it.
Internet was a bit slow but overall worked as promised
There is a pool but seemed a little dirty and small. Still, I bet its crowded in the summer
