I was only in Excalibur for a few minutes to play craps back in 2003. All I know is the dealers at our table were pretty rude and weren't paying us correctly. We finally got our winnings after complaining and left. I thought the place would be neat with the medieval theme and all, but I don't know if I'd ever go back.

We stayed at the Excalibur during a family reunion about five years ago, after being on immune suppressive medication for a year. YUCK was it nasty! Well, to me all of Las Vegas is kinda nasty. The hotel's lobby is taaaaacky, crowded and smelled of cheap cigars. It was so bad that my lungs and eyes were burning from the smoke--and a hotel's lobby is supposed to be its show piece!
As you can imagine, it did not get better when we went up to the room. The carpet was crusty and God knows what kinds of stains were hidden in its dark colouring. The beds were nasty--again, dark bedding. I was in utter agony the entire reunion. Gives me the heebies just thinking about it now.

Of all the mega resorts in Las Vegas, this is the one I liked the least. The theme was aweful, and was very dark and dated. It seems like they have made very little effort to keep the property updated. This property really needs to meet the TNT sooner than later. The only positive was a small food court that was reasonably priced (McDonalds had a dollar menu, etc) so this was a good stop for a quick snack. Otherwise its a pretty run down place. I guess if you are traveling with kids you might consider staying here - but overall I would consider leaving the kids at home!

the buffet was very average. Quizno's was OK. The tournament show was just OK; definitely not worth $55 per person.

While this is not one of the newer hotels, it is still in good shape. It is right on the strip, so you can easily walk to many other hotels. The rooms are very large, as is the shower. I have stayed here multiple times, and would definitely stay here again. The price is also one of the lowest on the strip, which makes it even better!

This resort is castle-style with dragons adorning it all over. They have a full arcade on the bottom floor, and it really seems geared towards kids. We did not stay there but went in and out to check out the casino and inside of the resort while in Vegas, and it was quite interesting but not a place I would choose to stay. It is in a good location on the strip though.

This hotel offers affordable rates and is a great place for the family. The bottom floor is a huge arcade for the kids, and there is a jousting tournament that the whole family can enjoy. The pool is very nice and there is a nice hot tub outside as well. Excalibur offers a very nice spa for customers. Upon check-in you are given free coupons for a free visit to the spa; which has an indoor hot tub/steam room/health club. Very nice. However, Excalibur is located FAR FAR away from many of the new or oldies but goodies atttactions. Prepare your feet for some major walking.

This is a good hotel to stay at in Vegas if you are coming with your kids. It is not too fancy, so you don't feel awkward about walking through the casino to your room with the kids in tow. The rooms are decent and clean and the prices are pretty good. The kids really like it because it looks like a medieval castle from the outside and the whole inside is like a Sherwood Forest kind of a theme. I liked it because I didn't have to feel out of place with having kids there and it was very conveniently located - right across from MGM Grand and New York New York.

My very first trip to Vegas, I stayed here. I went to Vegas with three other friends and we got a great deal on the room. It wasn't the best hotel I've stayed in, but we were hardly ever in our room, so it didn't really matter. We had a great time in the casino and loved the slots. There was even one tiny little section in the slots area that was a "non-smoking" section. I really loved the location. It was easy to get to the Luxor, Mandalay Bay, New-York New-York, and the MGM right across the street.

This is another rare casino, located on the popular Vegas strip, that is created for families. The 1st floor is for adults, while the basement floor is a kid haven. There is an arcade downstairs, full of video games. There are also midway games where you can win prizes for your kid (or your girlfriend), such as stuffed animals. It's all about fun. There's plenty of other kids around playing games. There's even a section where kids can play games to earn tickets to exchange for prizes. There's also machine claw games in another section, where you can win stuffed animals and watches. On adult floor, its the casino. Probably not the best set of games out there. I realized they mostly have quarter and dollar slots, but not much of anything else. Whats the coolest thing about the casino is the Excalibur theme. The whole shape of the casino from the outside is a crazy castle. It's literally a huge, standing quite tall white castle, with a tower on the side for the hotel rooms. If you want to have fun with your kids in Vegas, this is a place you can go to.
