Tower rooms are better than the pyramid, even though pyramid is kinda unique. But the smokey air from the casino all rise to the top and then goes into the vent and flows into the hotel rooms located inside the pyramid. This hotel is located on one end of the strip and so is lot cheaper. But it's still one of the newer hotels, so it's a great deal. You can always cross the street to NY NY and then catch the tram over to the main part of the strip.

The Luxor, the great black pyramid on the Southern end of the Strip, is a nice hotel to stay in during your trip. It is easy to find and get to from the airport, however, if you want to see the main attractions of the Strip, be prepared to walk. That said, it's located next to Excalibur and Mandalay Bay, and the walk to both is easy.
I stayed in one of the Pyramid rooms, which means I got to ride in the Oscillator, which takes you sideways up the Pyramid. There are other rooms located in a separate building, which are normal hotel rooms. The room was spacious and clean, so it was worth the price.
The Luxor contains a nice casino in the "second floor" which is the lobby area. Below, there are shops and the Pharoah's Feast, which as far as buffets go in Vegas, is not really worth the price. Overall, the Luxor is a nice place to stay, if you want to stay in one of the theme Resorts on the Strip.

My husband and I were married at this hotel a little over a year ago and I can't wait to go back. The wedding professionals were wonderful. We chose their chapel because it was just beautiful. The staff there was SO wonderful in helping us decide what we wanted. And when ever I called to change things, they never got upset, annoyed, or anything (at least they didn't show it!). Everyone warned me about how hard wedding planning was going to be. It was a piece of cake. I just let them know what I wanted, and they got it done. I never had to worry about a thing. The pricing for our wedding package was fabulous compared to other hotels/chapels. The photography company that they are affiliated with is exceptional. We get SO many compliments on our wedding pictures. People still mention them a year later! Our guests had so much fun and everyone was well taken care of. The decor in the hotel is fantastic. I was in awe the whole time.. I just couldn't believe the size of the lobby or the height of the atrium. I couldn't believe how gorgeous the statues and the fountains are. I definitely recommend staying here if you have the opportunity.

I really liked staying at the Luxor the last time I was in Vegas. The rooms are decorated really nice, and everything was just comfortable. We were in the pyramid rooms, which are really cool to be able to look down to the ground from the higher floors! I would definitely stay here again.

The Luxor in Las Vegas is quite the exotic retreat from realality. It is my favorite place to stay when we visit Vegas. My wife promises me she will let me decorate one of our rooms like the Luxor. But I'm still waiting for that approval. The staff, dealers, and front desk clerks are all very friendly. All are willing to help. They taught us how to play craps one morning at the tables, and were more then willing to answer any questions. The rooms are clean, and are lined up the pyrimid. The King Tut Tomb is a cool site to see too. Get the headphones and step back into time.

The Luxor is a great, affordable place for families to stay. The hotel itself is set up in such a way that I would feel comfortable walking through with my family, which is not the case with many hotels in Vegas! They have a King Tut museum where they have recreated King Tut's tomb. My husband and I are history buffs, so we thought it was pretty interesting, but it was a bit pricey. If you stay there, they do offer discounts. They also have an IMAX ride that was fun, but not for younger children. The rooms are good sized and affordable. There is an "elevator" that goes sideways to give you access to your room. Overall, we felt like the Luxor was a good value.

The Luxor is a great hotel, especially for the price. If you book directly on their website, you can get some pretty good deals. I like to stay in the pyramid part of the hotel over the towers. It's great to be able to come out of your room, go down the elevator (or inclinator--depending on what floor you're on), and be right in the casino. I enjoyed their buffet. The food was pretty good and it wasn't very expensive. We timed it just right one day (and didn't even realize it until after we paid), but we arrived during the lunch time hours and when we were just starting to eat, they were putting out the dinner time food selection. Not bad to pay for a lunch and get to eat the dinner food!

I spent Christmas night one year at the Luxor with my husband. Our experience was incredibly romantic. We were on the 19th floor and had a spectacular skyline view of Vegas. The room was tastefully done in the Egyptian theme, and the bathroom was very nice. I’m looking forward to being able to stay there again. I highly recommend the hotel for couples who want to “get away” for a night or two.

Walking into the pyramid shaped Luxor Hotel is amazing and exhilarating. It is a very lush and full service hotel with a buffet, cafe, restaurant, coffee shop, logo shop, sundries store and of course every means of gambling known in Las Vegas. Although our room was nicely furnished there were huge spots that were empty and bare. The bathroom was huge but had no furnishings. It appeared that the room was only half furnished and not quite finished. The staff is very accomodating, friendly and knowledgeable about Las Vegas. Prices were quite high.

Not a favorite of mine, this resort was dark, not that enticing, and really did not do anything to put the Vegas energy into it at all. Blah…not really worth going to at all. We have friends who stayed there and wouldn’t do it again – between the inclinator (they can’t have an elevator because of the pyramid shape) and the odd-shaped rooms, they didn’t like it at all.
