Mamacita's is across the street from the El Cortez downtown. They serve both Mexican and Puerto Rican food. We only tried the Mexican food but they did have some Puerto Rican items on the menu that looked very good. The free salsa that they serve you as soon as you come in is fantastic. They give you two different types, a hot and a mild, and they are both first rate. We had their nachos as an appetizer. They were okay, but nothing special. It is a huge portion however. The fajitas for our lunch were huge. I'm very glad the two of us split the order. We had nachos and fajitas both left over. The fajitas were very very good. If you're in the area I would recommend a stop here.
