A simple review: great chicken tamales, friendly staff, great value for the money, tasty chips and salsa. This place is located at the south end of downtown LV, so go there if you are near the downtown area. It is very casual, and what you would expect from a nondescript building on old LV. Would gladly go again and happily eat too much.

This is the WORST Mexican food I ever had the misfortune to try and eat. It was swimming in grease. I regurgitated my food at the table! I left and my child and I were sick for days! I called and emailed the management and they didn't even have the courtesy to return my call or email! I didn't get this ill when I ate Mexican Food in Mexico! Take your insurance card because you will be making a trip to the hospital! I don't know how any of the employees got work cards because they were obviously, blatantly illegal and none of them could speak English.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HEALTH OR DIGESTIVE SYSTEM!
Pros: none
Cons: outrageous price, greasy, became ill, rude staff no habla English

I have been going to both Dona Marias resturants for several years. My grandmother is from Mexico and my Grandfather from Spain, I grew up with Authentic and this hits the spot. Their salsa and chips are delicious and the servers are as friendly as they come. The meals are amazing from the homemade tamals, menudo, enchiladas and even their nachos rock. I take everyone I know there and they end up taking their families there as well. In all my years going, I have only had to wait for a table 3 times, even on the busiest nights (fri and sat)
Pros: Kid friendly, ample parking at both locations, friendly serivce, addicting, can be romantic on not busy nights
Cons: Can be loud at times, but I find that as a pro, for other's not so much

I took my partner to this place for our first date. We go back often and always get the same food because it is always good. We usually go when i have a craving for good enchiladas as they have the best in town. The prices are reasonable, the service great and the food delicious. Down side: the location isnt one of the best but its worth the trip.

I pick up this tradition eating Tamales on Christmas from my friend Gabby. She introduced me to the food when she invited me to her family's Christmas dinner 5-6 years ago. So every year I always get tamales from Dona Maria for Christmas dinner. They make the best tamales in town. Once a year seems to be a long wait just to eat tamales because I'm always craving for Dona Maria's tamales all the time so now I often stop by the restaurant and get tamales.
