After leaving a nightclub in Vegas and finding yourself on the strip at 4am still ready to party, Drais is the place to go. It was pretty crowded and there were two different rooms. At the main dance floor, the music was mostly techno or of that nature. There was a hip hop room towards the back and it was pretty big as the main part. It still felt like you just started the night out and when you leave you go outside to sunlight. It was wonderful and I had the best time. I would highly recommend Drais, which is located inside Bills Gamblin Hotel by Flamingo.

I've been to Marrakesh twice and both times the food was fabulous. They even had belly-dancers. It was a fun atmosphere. You basically sit on the floor and they serve you like a 7-course meal. I tried things I'd never tried before and loved everything. Great service and reasonable prices.

My best friend and I went to Vegas 2 years ago to celebrate our 40th birthdays. I talked her into going to TK's bar. We had planned on bar hopping the whole trip. We never left and went back every night of our stay. We went back last year and Jim our favorite bartender was still there. We went every night. The music is great and we have so much fun. All the customers are friendly and everyone has a great time. We have not tried the food but my aunt and mom liked it. We have already made plans to go back this year. The drinks were no higher there than any other place and there is no cover charge!
Pros: Jim the Bartender

I was expecting a "H@@oters" but what I got was a top notch dining experience with some of the most beautiful wait staff around. We ordered the BBQ chicken spring rolls which were amazing, presentation was flawless. I followed that up by the Spinach Ravioli which was fantastic. The tomatoes in this dish were amazingly flavorful and the Ravioli were perfectly crafted. My collegue ordered a chicken breast dish and reported that all elements were fantastic.
The atmosphere was not what I expected at all. Very urban chic. The interior design was befitting a much pricier hipster establishment.
The service was great, and I'm trying to be objective despite the fact that the waitresses are all 10's in bikini's. Our waitress had an injured knee and still managed to get everything to us quickly and with a smile. Vegas is a town of lovely women, and some of the most lovely women I saw were waitresses at this establishment.
The only downside to this place is the wait staff being 10's in bikini's. If you want to take a date here be careful, you may get smacked for letting your eyes wonder. I asked our waitress about this and she said that they do get a good amount of couples but it can be problematic as guys have literally had to tip her on the sly so their date didn't see due to jealousy issues. Yes, the girls are that nice looking which can be a bit of a distraction from the excellent food and atmosphere. I just wonder how successful their business model will be...it would be hard to convince my wife to go to a fancy dinner (which is what this place offers) at the "Hawaiian Tropic Zone."
Overall, this place makes me re-think my bias against theme restaraunts and I'd highly recommend you go there when in LV!
Pros: Great food presented beautifully in a great venue by beautiful staff
Cons: Beautiful staff may not be appropriate for some dates/families

My husband and I relocated here from D.C. and we were finding Vegas to be almost devoid of restaurants with atmosphere and authentic ethnic food...that is, until we stumbled upon The Spirit of Cuba! This restaurant is a diamond in the rough...we were able to make reservations at the last minute and it was practically empty on a Saturday night. So, of course, I was expecting terrible food, terrible service, or both. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent - everyone was very friendly and attentive. And the food...the food was unbelievable! So delicious! I ordered the Bistec Empinazado, a breaded, fried Palomilla steak (thin sirloin sauteed in oliive oil, lime and spices), a good choice for the slightly less adventurous eater. It came with a hefty portion of rice, black beans and plantains (try the sweet plantains)! The food was authentic and delicious. One caveat to my review - timing is everything: in order to enjoy the terrific, live music on the weekend, you have to come after 8 p.m. If you come before that, your experience will lack the Cuban flavor that comes with live Salsa music. And for those who fear that the music will be annoying - no fear! It is just loud enough to provide an enjoyable background to your conversation...unless you are in the mood to dance in the lounge area. This restaurant is sure to catch on...be one of the first to discover it!
Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere, Live Music...
Cons: None

Cafe Martorano is part night club, part casual restaurant, and part upscale restaurant. I guess it comes as little surprise that this strange amalgamation fails to be good at much of anything. The first turn off was seeing a bottle of wine I usually buy at the local grocery store for $10 priced at almost $60. Look, I don?t mind paying more for wine at a restaurant ? I get it ? but getting ripped off is another matter. And that was one of the cheapest bottles on the wine list. To start out, I split a cheesesteak appetizer. Having lived in Philly, the Martorano?s cheesesteak is good but not great. And at $18, it doesn?t come cheap. The veal dish I had was more akin to something you?d find in a small mom & pop Italian joint than an expensive Las Vegas restaurant. It was unimaginative, greasy, and gargantuan in size. The service was friendly and attentive but that may have been due to the fact that the place was mostly empty during a holiday weekend. All in all, the food, while not horrible, simply fails to cut it in a town jammed with world class restaurants. For what you pay for a complete meal here, you?re simply better off elsewhere.

I tried to go this Saturday, June 27, 2009. When I walked up to the door a man and woman were standing there and asked if I wanted to go up and I said yes. They told me it would be closing in 15 minutes; it was only 10:45pm. When I asked why they told me they were closing early to get the message out to people that ONE SIX was a lounge and not a club. They told me locals were causing too many fights in the past few months, so from now on they were closing early, like that would ever keep out locals.
I mean this is a place with no cover charge, no dress code and they play club music, but they don’t want to be a club?????? Do they really think closing early would be hurting the locals?
They really only hurt the employees that didn’t get to earn their tips that night.
The only other time I went to ONE SIX was a few months ago on a Friday night. It was a nice crowd and the service and prices were great. It’s too bad they don’t just do the club thing, by enforcing a dress code and cover charge. People don’t fight in their good clothes or if they have paid money to get in some where. If they don’t want people to think it is a club, then they shouldn’t play club music. Lounge is a genre of music now, that does not consist of songs like ONE MORE DRINK by Ludacris or BLAME IT ON THE ALCOHOL by Jamie Foxx.
Pros: Beautiful lounge, great location
Cons: Manager & owner are clueless
