Michigan's capitol has been completely restored and is absolutely beautiful. It is modeled after the US capitol with Dome and chambers of the legislature on each side. There are also offices of the Governor and former Supreme Court chambers. Tours start in the basement and are free. If you are from Michigan and the legislature is in session you can leave a note with one of the sergent-at-arms (red coats) for your representative or senator and then they will greet you from the floor of the legislature. You can watch the session from the gallery above the chamber. Check out the portiats of former governors in the rotunda. Oh and be sure to stare up into the dome for at least five minutes, you will be amazed by what you see!

I went here for a promotion for brunch on Sunday. This restuarant is located inside the Midway Hotel. The price was around $15 but the food was amazing. Even if I hadn't had the promotion I would have gone. Custom made omlets, traditional and non traditional food, such as real german good was very good. Samosas and champagne also part of brunch. The desserts were amazing! The only problem was I became very full by the end of trying everything!

THe YMCA downtown is the coolest place to work out if you work down town. It is just write for a lunch workout or to get in before or after work. You have to be 18 to go in so you dont have to worry about little kids running everywhere.
I love this place check it out! Get a guess pass just for going in...

This place is Great!!! They are new to Lansing, but alot of stores in other states.
They don't do your stand still pictures, they walk around and take pictures with a camera. Then you get your pictures in 15 minutes. They must of taken 60 shots of my granddaughter they were great.
Great pictures, turned out alot better then Walmart and places like that. Like a real studio.. Running a holiday special right now 9.95 for 43 pictures.

I came to LCC in my late 20's a little intimidated about being an older college student. The diversity of the students really makes this a great place to go. The tuition is a lot less then the larger colleges and you get a lot of personal attention in smaller clasees. I have found everyone to be very helpful in my educational goals here. The best part of being at a Community college is they are very much a part of the community and the events they do reflect that. The best place to get started too with transfer programs all over the place!

They also have a punch card to get free pizza after you buy 12! The calzones are like pizzas but rolled up with sandwich or pizza toppings inside and are delicious.

I forget the exact title, but Bonnie's has been designated "Top Burger in Lansing" for the past several years, and they've earn that reputation. They have a full page in their menu devoted to different types of burgers. I love their pizza burger, and my husband always orders the Bonnie Burger which is mainly unique for its ham topping. Service has always been good. It is a bar, so even the non-smoking section is a bit dark and smoky.
