This store has been in the same location since I was a child (let's just say well over 40 years, shall we?) and has always been, and remains, a magical place. It is located in the lower level of a large, old Victorian house surrounded on three sides by a beautiful lawn and garden. When you visit the store, you're invited to walk the garden and enjoy the flowers. The store itself is wonderful, filled with high-quality dolls, bears, accessories, toys, and other such items, which will bring a thrill to any child -- young or old. Quite often, doll or bear or toy designers drop by for a day of celebration and item signing. If you want delightful, stimulating, quality items for yourself or a special child, then this is the place!

I teach preschool and I love toys. This store is so great. They have such wonderful toys...toys that don't need to require batteries to be entertaining.
They have a huge selection of great kids books, even things that adults would love, like the Complete Dictionary of Dragons.
They have the best puppets too. I was so happy to see that they carry Folkmanis brand puppets, a very high quality brand that specializes in puppets of unique and beautiful animals. In the past I have found an Anteater puppet, a puppet of baby chicks in a nest and the coolest shark puppet.
In addition to that, they have puzzles suitable for any skill level, tons of different types of blocks, playmobile and duplo sets.
