Catching a game at Oldsmobile Park is a relaxing, family friendly way to spend a summer afternoon or evening. The tickets are reasonable, parking is close, the players seem to actually care about each game (considering they are trying to move up in the minors towards the major leagues) and they have some fun promotions.
Thursday nights feature extremely cheap beer, mixing two American traditions into one.
Overall, I'd highly recommend checking them out if you get the chance.

This facility is enormous! One of the great things about it is that it is completely enclosed so you can go all year round. They have excellent baseball instruction as well as different types of leagues and things. Rates are reasonable, facility very nice. A very fun place to go. We especially enjoy it during the long winter because it is fun to be able to do more of an outside sport even though it is way too cold outside! A must visit for any baseball lover!

The Summit is an enormous facility! They have areas for gymnastics, soccer and lacrosse lessons and leagues and a great, full size skating rink. Rentals are available (for skates) and there are lessons, free skate time, and hockey leagues also available. This is a nice facility that is very well maintained and has mid level pricing. There are some arcade games in the common area, a snack bar and several little stores where you can purchase athletic equipment. A wonderful resource for year round athletic enrichment and fun.

Royal Scot's name is obviously a tribute to the birthplace of golf. It's a touch above a mid-range golf course, but nothing to write home to Jack Nicklaus about. If you like to use your driver on every hole, Royal Scot is the place to play. It's rather long and even more so if the winds pick up a bit. It's still a lot of fun. Just make sure you get a cart, especially if you're just playing the back nine. It's a little more than a walk back to the club house if don't.

One would not think they could not find such a nice municipal course in the middle of Lansing, but Groesbeck Golf Course is up to par. For a city-run course that is worked almost entirely by General Motors retirees, it is definitely a great value course. It has a great layout with plenty of terrain and challenge. They just recently started a beverage cart service and they definitely stay up on the mowing. Just be careful on the weekend, as it can get a little more than full.
