Located across the street from the Lugnuts stadium, this sports grill has all the obligatory amenities such as the large TV and bar. But it also has outdoor dining and a wonderful menu. My favorite is the tuna melt, but the salads and wraps are also good. I have only visited during workweek lunch and it is pleasantly busy but not noisy or overcrowded. Not sure what it may be like on game day! Convenient to the stadium but much better than regular baseball fare. Check it out!

Kelly’s Downtown is quite possibly my favorite bar in Lansing. The place has a wonderful Irish-American atmosphere, fantastic food and great service. Whenever I am downtown, I usually make it a point to go to Kelly’s for a pint of Guinness (properly poured, no less!) or Smithwick’s.
The Friday special of Mac and Cheese is among the best I have had in any restaurant and I highly recommend trying it.

Gone Wired is great place to get a cup of coffee and a bite to eat. Since they've opened the kitchen, you can find some unique dishes to satisfy your need for food. It's a locally owned business and the owners really give back to the community by hosting breakfast benefits and they also have a presence at the farmer's market nearby.

Not only is Roma Bakery fresh, but the variety is amazing. You can also get fresh deli items such as pizzas, cheeses and olives. Ethnic food is abound and you can find things that are not in your regular grocery store. The hard part is that you want to try everything and it's always changing. I find myself getting a huge sample of things because I cannot decide. This is also a great place to get a wedding cakes. They are beautiful on display and I'm sure they taste as good as the other bake goods!

Mort's is a great Lansing Bar. The Bartenders know their drinks and if they don't know it, they are willing to make it no questions asked per your description. The Bar is divided into two parts. One side is for siting down and relaxing. The other side is one of the best dart setups for the area.
If your a dart player you will not be disappointed. The boards are clean and maintained. Always plenty of chalk. If you don't own your own set, they have bar darts easily available.
They do have a patio, but it's small. It gets crowded easy, and the city bums have learned that's a great place to beg. Drunk people can be very giving...
If your hungry, few people know that Mort's actually have a decent menu. Nothing fancy, but it's good simple Bar food.
While I've seen hook-ups happen there, don't go in expecting to find someone to go home with. Mort's is just a great place to sit down, hang out with some friends, play some darts, and have a good time. Most of the staff is friendly. You can even find the owner and his family wondering around.
I do have my complaints, like the days Dart leagues hog the boards till late and the live bands, but over all Mort's is the complete package. Good prices, good drinks, good people.

This is the best buffet in town. It's across the street from the Lansing Mall, so it's a great stop after you shop til you drop! They have a great selection of food, from steak and fish on some nights, to your average chicken, potatoes, macaroni and cheese, salad and dessert bar. The dining room can get somewhat cramped and full, because this is a very popular hangout. Great prices for kids and adults.

Tripper's is a really great place to go! I had a great time watching sports and they have a really wide variety of food on their menu like burgers, pizza, grinders, salads, and great appetizers.
My favorite was their pizza. Their crust is perfect! It is not too thick, not too thin, just right! And their sauce is really good too. I don't like my pizza sauce to be tomatoe-like, and I don't like it to be really really spicy either. Tripper's pizza sauce is the best!
I went back and had their Tripper's dip, which is a layered mexican dip, and they serve it with their homemade tortilla chips. It is an excellent appetizer. I really enjoyed it with a couple of margaritas.
My friend and I loved the atmosphere at Tripper's. You can even play poker if you want. We plan to go back and do that next time.
We would definitely recommend it!
Pros: Food is really good, you can play poker, atmosphere is fun and exciting to watch sports

I have eaten here many times. The service is always very good. They have a good variety of freshly prepared Asian and non-Asian dishes. I have only had their buffet; they also have a regular menu. They prepared buffet items in fairly small quantities and replace them quickly so they are usually very fresh. The variety is good and and the food tastes very good. They also have a Mongolian-style grill where you can pick out the items you want cooked, and the chef will prepare them for you . If you want a charming atmosphere, this is not the place for you. The interior (and exterior) are practical but not very attractive. Don't let the exterior scare you away; there is good food inside.
Pros: Good food, good service, good value
Cons: Decor
