Mort's is a great Lansing Bar. The Bartenders know their drinks and if they don't know it, they are willing to make it no questions asked per your description. The Bar is divided into two parts. One side is for siting down and relaxing. The other side is one of the best dart setups for the area.
If your a dart player you will not be disappointed. The boards are clean and maintained. Always plenty of chalk. If you don't own your own set, they have bar darts easily available.
They do have a patio, but it's small. It gets crowded easy, and the city bums have learned that's a great place to beg. Drunk people can be very giving...
If your hungry, few people know that Mort's actually have a decent menu. Nothing fancy, but it's good simple Bar food.
While I've seen hook-ups happen there, don't go in expecting to find someone to go home with. Mort's is just a great place to sit down, hang out with some friends, play some darts, and have a good time. Most of the staff is friendly. You can even find the owner and his family wondering around.
I do have my complaints, like the days Dart leagues hog the boards till late and the live bands, but over all Mort's is the complete package. Good prices, good drinks, good people.

621 always has a very diverse crowd as well as events. There are a number of different artists from rock to rap and everything in between. The Bar/Restaraunt are hosts to a number of fundraisers and community programs. They have also recently been the home to many aspiring poets. 621 is a great place to get jazzed up and go out for a needed Girl's Night Out.

The Whiskey Barrel Saloon in Lansing is a new country bar that just opened recently and is quickly becoming one of the best bars in town. They offer live music that include some very well known artists as well as having dance lessons and a mechanical bull for those who want to have some extra fun. They also have great cover and drink specials every night of the week.

My favorite spot to go and relax with friends is Barley's. They have some of the best bar food that is not very costly. The beer is always cold and ready to be served, and the Juke Box always has the best hits from classic to country and everything in between. The waitstaff are always courteous as are the patrons. Stop in and play a game or two of pool and have fun.

I forget the exact title, but Bonnie's has been designated "Top Burger in Lansing" for the past several years, and they've earn that reputation. They have a full page in their menu devoted to different types of burgers. I love their pizza burger, and my husband always orders the Bonnie Burger which is mainly unique for its ham topping. Service has always been good. It is a bar, so even the non-smoking section is a bit dark and smoky.

When the sands of time pass, they can be very cruel to mankind. Long before I became a cubicle-dwelling, corporate solider and general shell of a man, I used to be cool. I used to be in a band. I played guitar and wrote songs and had a few groupies. Whenever possible, I rock and rolled all night and partied every day. We played basements, garages, backyards and dingy clubs much like Mac’s Bar.
While Father Time may have forsaken me, I can nonetheless feel younger again by going to Mac’s Bar. This place is 100% maximum rock, turned up to 11 and books some great local, Midwestern and national indie talent. Drink some cheap beer, listen to some great music and leave with your head buzzing and your ears ringing.
While I hold no illusions that I stick out like a sore thumb there these days, the people are nice enough, don’t call me out on it, and let me languish in sweet, sweet nostalgia for those by-gone days.

My friends and I went here to go clubbing one night. The place is a very posh club with different themes each night. The night we went was called Sin City. When you first enter, there is a lounge place with comfortable couches and tables to sit and chill and meet other people that is separate from the dance floor. After passing through the lounge, there is the bar and other tables and stools. Everything is very modern looking. The dance floor isn't too big, but the place wasn't too crowded that night, so it didn't really matter. There are also platforms, which if you have the courage to get up on, you can dance for everybody to see. I didn't try the bar because I wasn't 21, so I can't exactly review that. The music was pretty good to dance to--a lot of mixed beats, and I don't recall one song that we weren't able to dance to. The place is very hip and cool, definitely a club to check out if you're in the Lansing area!
