Barton Brothers Heating & A/C is a terrific little company! Their service guys are so sweet! They'll take the time to listen to your problem and do what they can (when they say they will) to fix the problem. Reliable, responsive, not too expensive and great to do business with! I highly recommend them!.

The Junction is a WONDERFUL place to eat! They have a Fabulous breakfast. I hear they also have a good lunch and offer dinner Thurs-Sat or Sun, but I've never been able to make it there later in the day. It's one of those places that makes you feel like you're in grandma's kitchen again. Comfort food at it's best! If you're up that way, be sure not to miss a chance to eat there!

The Antique Mall has several thousand square feet chock full of antiques of all descriptions, from crowing chickens to wrought iron, mink jackets, furniture of all sizes and shapes, linens, books, jewelry, table settings, glassware, pottery, baskets, children's clothes and furniture, china. Everything is in good condition and the prices are reasonable. Hours are Monday - Saturday, 10-6 and Sunday, 1-5.

Landrum Hardware has narrow aisles, but that's because every other square inch is filled with an amazing array of supplies. Flags (U.S. and decorative), South Carolina lottery tickets, garden clogs, pocket knives, fishing rods and lures, rifles, hunting and fishing licenses, engine lubricants of all kinds, paint supplies, garden seeds sold in bulk (1/2 ounce is smallest amount sold), shovels of all descriptions, cowboy hats, and the usual array of nails, screws, nuts and bolts are sold. Did I miss anything? The store probably has it. They also make keys.

This is a great park to take the kids. The picnic area is covered with many tables for large groups. For a more private setting, there is a gazebo off to the side. Grills are available to cook lunch. The playground is clean and has safe equipment. The only bad thing is for smaller kids. Most of the equipment is for kids 4 and up.

Dr. Padgett was recommended to me by several people because of the care he takes with his patients and I found this to be true when I met with him. He takes time to find out who you are and the details of your medical situation. He even took the time to tell me a little about himself and his family, so I feel that I am in the hands of a good Doctor and a real human being. Understandably, he is very busy and it may take a few weeks to get an appointment with him. Dr. Padgett is also on the staff of St. Lukes' Hospital in Columbus and Spartanburg Hospital. Family Physicans of Landrum accepts most insurances.
