Buyer beware of what you're being charged for. My husband and I bought one coffee and one alcoholic beverage and the bill was $72. For sure an error we said to the waitress and she of cource agreed. Back in a few she announced, when she came back she told us that the party who ordered the rest of the drinks already left and if we don't pay then the bill will come out of her pocket... stunned, we paid and left.\r We called management the very next morning who took all our information after vehemently apologizing for their error , took my phone number promising to call me back with their plan to make it right for us. Needless to say, they never called us back. Innocent me, thought they perhaps misplaced our phone number�Called again, Déjà vu... never heard from them again. And yes, did I mention the black rice in the ladies bathrooms, or mouse poop!!! Live and learn� more

I think the family recipes are really good but the food ingredients are of cheap quality and sometimes taste old. I have become sick from the food twice now, maybe because the ingredients were not fresh? Maybe the kitchen is not clean? This place could be a real hotspot if they would clean up their act and commit to using fresh local/organic ingredients. more

The layout here is like a high school cafeteria. Bright lights, squared up tables and rows. The only thing missing are the students. Lots of potential, but management needs to make the place more mellow and relaxing. Can't really put it into words. While Pasha had, and Al Amir has, the right atmosphere this place does not. If you don't care, and are going just for the food and not the ambience, then maybe it will be satisfactory for you. If I wanted that, I'd just get take out and go home. more

What a disappointment! The service was absolutely terrible! Our waitress (Amanda) was surly. She never smiled, never said thank you, and didn't even acknowledge when we thanked her for bringing our food 45 minutes after we ordered it! Amanda had no sense of urgency, even though the place was packed (standing room). She ambled through the restraunt as if she were waiting on only two tables. She never cleared our table either. We sat there all night long with dirty dishes on the table. The food was tasty, but way over priced. I got about a dollar's worth of rice with my meat; which was a tad oily. I had to ask for bread and she never refilled our water. Also, she took our credit cards right away and then kept them all night long!! The best part of this restaurant was the belly dancing! WOW! They were some of the best dancers in all of PDX, I'm told and I believe it. Now THAT'S entertainment! Pros: Belly dancing! Cons: Slow, unfriendly service and over priced food more

We picked this restaurant to get together with several friends. We used to go there long ago and had good memories. I don't know what happened. Has the ownership changed?? Thought the food would be interesting.. NOT!! Some of the food was mixed so much that it was unidentifiable and I typically love the mediterranean food. Worse than the food was the lack of cleanliness. Buffet area was not kept up. I had to go through several plates to find one without a dried up gross food on it!! We had to ask the waitress to clean our table and bring new utensils. Ours was a reservation so they should have prepared the tables for us. They barely came and picked up the used up dishes on the table. I really think health department should inspect this restaurant. If the dining area had all these cleanliness problems, I hate to think what was it like back in the kitchen. Okay, where do I begin...Pars is an absolute disaster. When I heard of a middle eastern restaurant in Lake Oswego I was so excited, I usually have to drive to SE Portland to get mediterrian food and now I know why. It is definitely worth the drive. Let me start with the appitizers on the menu. Over half of the items were sold out or unavailable due to the fact that the cook did not show up! The guy filling in did not know how to make a lot. \r \r I got some hummus, which was extremely dry and needed more olive oil, and some grape leaves, which were horrible and tasted like the filling was cooked in cream of mushroom soup. Advice to the foody if you try this place do not get mentioned items above. Then my server asked me if I'd like a drink. She then mentioned that she is the, ""bartender extrodinare"" I told her I'd stick to water. So I ordered a chicked and beef plate with some veggies and rice. Not good at all and when I got a look at the open kitchen and saw everything was being heated up in the microwave I lost it! I could have made better food at home. Bottom line...Pars is extrememly overpriced, bad food and poor management. They would not even honor my coupon for 50% off entire bill. I now know why my server wanted me to drink! more

We went for dinner. They are seriously suffering (This is the 3rd name change in 4 years). With each change of management/name it has gotten worse. Food is ok, similar to street vendor food, if it's even that good. Service really tried, and our server was very sweet, but the glasses had food on them, silverware had smeary finger prints all over and it just wasn't very clean in total. Unfortunately, we love food from the Med, but this place isn't making standards. Spent your $ elsewhere more
