I love this place! I've been there 10-15 times, with my husband, friends, family. Small place, but very good sushi!

I love Amura. I eat here all the time, and consider myself a "real" sushi eater; however, I normally share a boat with my husband, but most of their boats come with a California Roll, which is a waste of my time. We can normally get out of there for under $60 which is nice. This is a great place to go if you want fancy rolls, and a great ambiance, but if you're looking for plain Nigiri Sushi, there are plenty of other great places around Lake Mary to choose from.
Pros: Great Food
Cons: Too many California Rolls

My husband and I went there last night for our anniversary. I must say that after a rocky start I was very impressed. Our first server was not very friendly and seemed put out by the fact that we were taking our time selecting from the sushi menu. (It was our first time at this restaurant) Then when we were ready we couldn't seem to find him. We then saw Anne Marie walking by & she asked if we needed anything & proceeded to take our order. She was great, friendly and answered our questions. We luckily kept her as our server for the rest of our visit.
The brainstorm roll is my new fav. My husband had the Osso Buco which was delicious & I had the Chilean sea bass w/ black bean sauce which was fabulous. We shared a caramel ice cream bomb for dessert that was also delicious. The food was also presented beautifully and the portions were very ample.
I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the first server that we encountered and the dance music which seemed to be a tad loud. (The dining area was near the bar)
We will be back & asking for Anne Marie.
Pros: sushi, entrees, desserts, extensive wine list
Cons: some entrees are pricey

Prepare to dine at Amura, hit up a movie, and then out for a night in the quaint towne center area.

I really enjoy this location over the Dr. Phillips location. The setting and layout is a lot better and the restaurant is much more open and inviting. There are 2 bars with 1 being a large sushi bar. With the regular seating it makes this restaurant stand out over the likes of Kobe & Shogun. The sushi is very good and hibachi chef's are excellent. Usually on weekends you can find a seat in one of the dining rooms with out getting there early.
Pros: Ambience, setting, location
Cons: Price

This has to be the best sushi in town. If you love sushi, you need to try it. You'll never want to go anywhere else. The atomosphere is just as great.
