Five of us travelled to the Peppinos in Lake Forest from Villa Park. We had been to this location several times. Two of the party we children 12 years of age (they will be 13 in 9 months. They ordered off the children's menu. We ordered calimari for an appetizer. It was rubbery, small portion & what wasn't rings were tiny pieces of breading. We told our server & his response was "that can't be good". We let it pass & when the bill came we saw that we were charged for drinks for the children. When it was brought to his attention his answer was (after going back to kitchen) that they would let it pass this time but not to do it in the future. The future is 9 months in the future. He was definitely annoyed when we pointed out that he had taken the children's order with no problem or comment. He was at the point of being surly & definitely annoyed. We were disappointed with the food & certainly with the service. When we mentioned the calimari he certainly should have spoken to the menu instead of a smart answer. He couldn't have been less interested whether we were pleased or not.
Cons: poor service and the quality of the food has has deteriorated

I loved sitting outside. I loved the way the waiter took a lot of time with me since I was "virgin" to Vietnamese food and the way he explained how to eat it once it arrived. I had the rare beef pho and my partner had the filet mignon and rice. the sauce on the beef was outstanding. The reason we tried this place was that it is ALWAYS crowded with a line outside of a majority of Vietnamese people, it is in the MOST unfindable location and it's been there 16 years. No way would it have lasted a week if it wasn't good. We will definitely go back.
Pros: large portions. knowledgeable waiter. excellent taste

I agree with all the other positive reviews! The dishes look and taste wonderful. Monday thru Friday, they are packed for lunch, but Saturday’s are much better.

I love the feel of this dive bar located in a strip mall in Lake Forest. They always have good bands, cheep drinks, and a authentic cool, hip feel to listen to live music. Go on Tuesday nights to hear Jay Buchanan, one of the most talented singers in the OC.

First of all, the service was very personable and they made us feel so welcome. Secondly, the food was wonderful. It was fresh and cooked to perfection. Without a doubt, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone! I cannot wait to go again....SOON!!

We have been eating at Dragon Buffet, the food is out of this World clean, yummy and delicious. It holds a variety of dishes, from fish to meat to chicken, to shrimp, to sushi, it is constantly renew, it is always refreshed, the service is extremely sweet, they are shy but so kind.
I will be celebrating my daughter bday there, they are offering a free of charge separate room for a large party.
Their prices are so affordable. I do recommend this place to all of you. Try it out, it is really worth the money.

Aficionado is a great cigar shop/club. If you purchase a certain dollar amount of wine or cigars you can get a day pass to the club in back. Full bar, appetizers, plush furniture, chess boards, poker table and chips, HD TVs, etc. Or you can pay something like $200 month membership, but my wallet prefers the day pass. Definitely worth trying.
