I have a bit of an odd ball car (Triumph TR6) and team there did a great job with it. It drives like new now. And, despite it taking much more time than the team initially expected (due to to some issues with the car - not their estimate), there wasn't any up-charge. All in all a great experience.
Pros: Can do attitude, good communication, exactly the $ promised

I've been a Hergesheimer customer, off and on (as I've owned Porsches through the years) for over 25 years, and have had nothing but great experiences. Mark has always been clear about what work is required and what the cost will be, and I have found the service time to (almost always) be as promised.
One thing that may be mis-interpreted is that Mark will NOT allow his techs to do a 'halfway' job - and this sometimes get interpreted by some (ahem) "do it on the cheap" customers as over-priced. Get a quote from Mark, then one from a dealer and compare sometime. : )
Mark does do race car prep and service work (it's his hobby and passion) but the shop focus appears to be on street car service and repair work. I always enjoy looking at the race cars in the shop (and wishing they were in my garage!)..
Not the cheapest, but one of the best shops in my experience. I'll go back if and when I buy another P-car.

Pros: Can fix anything on a Porsche, top-notch work, cool cars in the shop to look at
Cons: Not the cheapest shop (but fairly priced), a bit out of the way (for central/north OC)

Irvine Suzuki is a great car dealer with a very small dealer feel. They know how to treat their customer and how to actually answer questions about the cars. We were able to take a test drive in a Grand Vitara with their new sales manager... and despite the fact that she was only 3 days old on the job, she was able to answer every question we had and take us on a great test drive. When I needed to get a car rented qucikly, Advantage really stepped up to the plate. I was having work done on my van at Midas (which is right next door) and I needed to rent a car immediately because Midas couldn't figure out how to do my brakes, and failed to deliver the car on time. Advantage knew that I was in a hurry to pick up my kids from school, did what they had to do, very quickly and got me out the door in the least amount of time possible!
WAY BETTER service than the bigger boys like enterprise.

Most people have AAA, but if you don't , Aliso Viejo Towing is a great tow service. They are quick to respond, and do a great job.
They do the work quickly, and professionally and the guys are usually friendly and courteous.
We have have used them both for towing, and for a tire change and both times went smoothly. They are part of AAA (that's how we found them).

After having a string of bad experiences at other automotive repair shakedown operations, I was bowled over by the service of this rarity among garages. The people were very friendly; Bo actually showed me what was wrong with my car without me having to ask, and the car was ready in just a few HOURS. He was even nice enough to drive me home! The work was done, done well, and in a timely manner. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

I brought my old car here to get a full tune up and fix whatever was wrong with the old car. I am always afraid that I will be ripped off by a mechanic that will tell me something is wrong when it isn’t. this was not the place. I got great service and a good price for what I gave them just as i did with the other places i went to around this area. These small auto repair centers give good service for a great price and are 110% legitimate.

Especially when they have their coupons in the local mailings, you can get a fantastic deal for less than half what the other guys charge. From a simple wash and vaccuum to complete detailing; just pick from the menu of options when you first pull in.
