The first thing you notice, besides the incredible jewelry in the window, is the warm welcome you receive from the manager, Barbie Solley. Barbie and Gary are truly the reason we return to make special purchases. They carry only the finest diamonds and treat each customer very special. They are the only store I shop for fine Jewelry. Tiffany does not compare! Gary & Gina
Pros: Exceptional selection of high end diamond rings and customer service
Cons: Parking on Girard can be a challenge, but the walk through La Jolla is worth it!

The location is a little bit touristy, but she has a great selection of silver earrings, necklaces and bracelets. If you are visiting, you will enjoy her store and all the other little shops nearby. If you are a local, you will hate the parking on Prospect, but I usually persevere and then I can find something not too far away. Her prices are reasonable, and you can find gifts in a variety of price ranges.

Although their prices are very high, this store does have a beautiful selection of jewelry. They are located on Girard near the intersection of Torrey Pines so it is a little easier to park near the store than it is for stores on Prospect. I have found the staff to be a little stuffy and not that welcome to people who want to browse.

I have never bought anything from Mario, but I have had him repair bracelets and replace watch batteries. He also used to do engraving on silver, and I assume this is still something he offers. He is located near the Von's shopping center, so it is easy to miss if you are driving by.

They will also craft a piece for you from your own design. I am particularly fond of their ""wave" pendant, which is a cross section of a shell mounted on a pendant. It's just gorgeous.
