I used to stay at the beach and tennis club when I was younger as my grandmother had friends with an apartment there. It was a very nice place to stay. It was a safe environment and a nice area to swim in the ocean and the pool. I was almost stung by a stingray when I went in the water, but little did I know those are around everyone. We would go shopping through La Jolla and walk downtown. Now that I live in San Diego I haven't been back to visit, but I just remember it being a really nice place that is really hard to get into as you have to sit on the waiting list for like 25+ years before being considered to be admitted.
