I went with my husband to this hotel for our short honeymoon right after getting married. It's a great hotel, beautiful rooms and a nice lobby. It's close to amazing restaurants and unique stores as well. Makes for a very relaxing stay! The staff is incredible, too!

I've stayed at the Hotel La Jolla at the Shores on a few occasions. Very nice hotel, comfortable, clean, great staff who is very accomodating. Goes out of their way for their guests.

The location is the only thing this place has going for it. The rooms, decor, and restaurant are quite average and definitely not worth the price. it?s not the most expensive place you could find, but I would definitely recommend either spending a bit more and getting something that?s actually swank (The W or Hilton) or save yourself some dough and just stay at the Comfort Inn, Super 8, etc. In fact, the Super 8 actually cares a great deal more than Hotel La Jolla whether or not you come back or recommend their hotel to others as evidenced by the relative levels of service. I like to support independent businesses when I can, but sometimes the fact that a business is the only one that exists is indicative of the fact that it simply isn?t good enough to successfully repeat its practices. I definitely do not recommend Hotel La Jolla.
