this was my first experience at atelier. when i first got to the salon the receptionist greeted me immediately. they offered me some ice tea. the stylist that was doing my hair, i had never meet her prior to coming in, jodi. she waved to me from her chair and was very welcoming. my hair had grown out soo much and i bleach my hair to platinum and was worried that it would be too damaged but she totally saved my hair from being fried off. the assistant that was helping her was very helpful as well he showed me some of their makeup and lip glosses. this was definitely the best salon experience i have ever had. This was my second visit at the salon. First time went okay with no pressure sales when I had my hair done. Second time around, I had a different hairstylist, named KARLA. When I sat down to tell her what I'd like done to my hair color, there was an obvious communication problem. I wanted my hair toned down b/c my highlights were too bright, but I didn't know the exact color I wanted. The stylist gave me 2 options on hair color & so I chose one, but she kept asking me, "Are you sure this is what you want?" I said sure, whatever she thought would looked best on me, but Karla became quite inpatient, rude, & kept insisting that I would not like my hair when she is done with it. I have never had this experience before where the stylist was not only rude, but felt incompetent, or lacked confidence in doing my hair. She then said, "I'm not going to argue with you because I have a lot of clients waiting, and so you should back to the front desk & schedule with another stylist." I was in total shock & confused about everything that just happened. When I approach the front desk & explained to the receptionist & the female salon owner standing there what happened, the response I got from the owner, was "I think it's a personality problem between the stylist & clients, plus Karla is pregnant & so that might have something to so with it." The owner obviously expressed no concern, empathy, or apologies for the experience I had that day, however she did say another stylist can do my hair now if I wanted. When I sat down thinking I was going to get my hair done, it became more of a hair color consultation since the stylist was already booked for another hair appointment. I left the salon feeling very disappointed with my experience, as I do believe that some of the stylists who work there are talented & professional. The customer service exhibited by Karla & especially the owner, made me realize that this is not the place for any client if something were to go wrong. Pros: none Cons: Service. Parking is tight. You cannot add the tip on the bill if you pay by debit/credit card.

I love this salon. I don't go anywhere else. My hair always comes out exactly the way I want. I get highlights and a cut and it's perfect every time. My stylist is Phuong. She's awesome. They always offer you a beverage (coffee/tea/water) and a stack of magazines. The salon is bright and modern. Parking can be tough depending on what time your appointment is. They use high quality products. I highly recommend Atelier. Pros: awesome staff Cons: parking

This salon has the most talented stylists working there. I travel nationwide frequently as a fashion critic for new designers, so I have experienced several salons and stylists from LA to New York, and Atelier Aucoin has been my favorite so far. I walk into Atelier Aucoin with the confidence that I will be given the best quality service in the business. I am greeted with warm smiles, an offer for refreshments, and even a relaxing neck massage! Besides the great service, one of the most important things that I look for in a Salon is the quality of work that is done there. I am EXTREMELY picky when it comes to my hair and EVERY time I leave Atelier Aucoin, I feel really good about myself. There's nothing better than looking in the mirror and knowing you look your best. That's why we go to a salon right? Sometimes you feel like you don't look your best....or even get bored with your look. I recommend Atelier Aucoin because they will know EXACTLY what to do. You won't regret it! Pros: Service, style, professionalism, RESULTS! Cons: I wish they had one in every city!

Natella is gives the best cut for wavy hair, and fabulous highlights. Kelly gives amazing highlights too, and great cuts with wonderful texture. They take their time with all of their services, so don't even think about rushing. It can be tough to get an appointment with your favorite stylist, but they try to make room whenever they can. An excellent array of styling products. They carry Vegetarian Miracle, a deep conditioner that I swear by. Once you go here you won't want to go anywhere else!

I had gone to this salon for 2 years before I had to move away. I wish I can make the time to go back. Sean does the best job. he seeks out your needs and makes you feel comfortable. The head massages are so relaxing. They are the pricier side, but from my experience they are worth every penny. They do a great coloring/highlight job too. I had my hair highlighted, but I had a hard time keeping up with the price and the rate my hair grows, but if you really want a really good job done, go to Atelier's. I'm scared of going somewhere different ...all I want to do is go back there. PROS: Great service, World-Class job CONS: Price

Atelier Aucoin is by far the best hair salon I have ever had the pleasure of visiting. I have never had the occasion to claim a regular hairdressor until an old roommate of mine referred me to this place. The atmosphere is lively, and the hair artists truly deserve to be called artists. They work fashion shows some weekends, but during the week anyone can make an appointment with their favourite stylist. Unique hair products, while somewhat pricey, work wonders on the health of my hair.
