On a recent trip to Mission Viejo, I took a few people to a camp across the freeway from this McDonald's. It was a convenient location, but the restaurant is too small. We visited several times over the course of 5 days and had a fairly long wait each time. We would have gone somewhere else if we knew the area better.

I've been a Souplantation fan since I was a teenager. Not only do they offer healthy salads, soups, and bakery items but they also taste good too! Their Won Ton Chicken Happiness (formerly called Won Ton Chicken Salad) is a must as you work your way through their buffet. The Asiago Caesar Salad is also very good. I like their Chili, Chicken Noodle, Cream of Broccoli, and Low Fat/Vegetarian Vegetable Medley. Almost all of their soups are excellent. (Vegetarians will find several items catering to their lifestyle.) I also like their Yankee Clipper Clam Chowder with Bacon. Lots of great bakery items like corn muffins, garlic or pizza focaccia, and brownie muffins. You can even get non-fat frozen yogurt to top it all off. Look for coupons in your Sunday paper to save a little. Their lunch or dinner coupons are usually valid for up to 4 people.

This is a nice sized Panda Express with lots of surrounding parking. I like that they have various types of tables, so you can be up high, or down low with your kidlets. They have never made me wait for any entrees, and have very friendly employees working there. Its a great location too, with a book store and a yogurt store to go to after for dessert!

I have given this place so many chances - I mean I have called at least 10 different times to order pizza because I have had it in other cities and it is very tasty. The service, for whatever reason, at this location is absolutely terrible. Whoever works there, everyone who works there, should be fired. Everytime my boyfriend and I call they say they are closed, it seriously doesn't matter if it is an hour before what their website says. And the worst part is, someone actually picks up the phone and says hello, we are closed. WTF? Why are you answering the phone if you are closed? The owner needs to further evaluate this terrible staff - they are making a bad name for the product.
Pros: The pizza is better than the chain pizzas...
Cons: The service is absolutely horrendous.

This is a great place to go if you want some food that tastes home-cooked. Their chicken is great, and the side dishes are variegated and all delicious. The prices are pretty good, especially the kids' meals. They are pretty fast, too. There is also a drive thru, in case you are in a hurry.
