I'd wanted to try this place for years and finally went in for a birthday dinner with my wife. It was really a wonderful experience! I can be very picky about my Italian cuisine but I must say my palate was constantly stimulated by the food here. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and the waiter even guided me to a less expensive bottle of wine than the one I'd ordered as he felt I'd be happier with it. (I was!) The best word I can think of to describe Ti Amo is " Unique " ! A terrific blend of food, service an atmosphere. I just wish we hadn't waited so ling to go in!!
Pros: Incredible food, service and atmosphere!!

I was going on a first date with a girl I really liked and heard this was the perfect restaurant. It could not have been better! Everyone there was so friendly. The hostesses were nice enough to seat us in a romantic corner when they heard it was a special night. Our waiter (Joe) was very knowlegable and helpful in our wine and dinner selection and the food was OUTSTANDING. We both felt as though we were being spoiled by the very attentive staff. We stayed much longer than we had intended but we were having such a good time that we just didn't want to leave. Very Highly Recommended!! AAAA++++
Pros: All that they do!
Cons: None!

We have eaten at this restaurant many times over the past few years because it had always been memorable (in a good way!!); but this time, we were sadly disappointed. It appears that they may have changed chefs. The linguine with clams tasted like ocean water and still had sand in the clams; and the lemon butter sage sauce that was on the crab ravioli was very 80's - too thick and creamy, not at all light and fresh. All the dishes were overly garlicky. We were a party of 4, and every one of us had a so, so feeling about the whole experience. It wasn't a surprise to us that the restaurant was only partially full.

I think it must be an old house and has five different dining rooms on several levels. Because of that there are many tables that have quite a romantic feel because they seemingly away from the others.
It feels like one of those old romantic neighborhood Italian places rather than modern trendy type joint. You have to determine what works for you.

Located in South Laguna, Ti Amo has great atmosphere. Very romantic, great special occasion place. When you enter, you feel like you're in a house with separate, cozy rooms for dining. Food and service is always very consistent, very good. Try the Ceasar Salad, it's served in an edible bowl. Best to make reservations.

I took my date and a couple friends to dinner last Friday (9/19/08) around 9:30pm. My date and I ordered the recommended house specials; Sea Bass & Ribeye, both of which were average at best. My date commented to the waiter that the meat was "fatty", he just smiled and apologized. I've had better fish & steak dishes at restaurant chains for half the cost. Definitely not worth the $30 & $45 I paid for them. We ordered a bottle of Syrah; my date/ friends were not impressed with the flavor (I'm not a wine drinker). They told me that the bottle of Syrah I'd brought over earlier ($15 @ BevMo) was much better; my date and friends enjoyed a glass of wine before going to dinner.
Valet parking was horrible. I practically parked my own car and had to walk up the incline to the front door. We stayed at the restaurant almost until closing and the valet handed me my car key at the table, then wanted a tip (I refused). When I got in my car, all of the controls had been tampered with and/or turned off. I drive a 2008 Infiniti M45 and the controls are automatic. All the valet needs to do is park the car and set the alarm.
The restaurant had a decent atmosphere but seating was crowded. My party of 4 sat very close to a party of 2 who were clearly on a date and they had no privacy whatsoever. The best thing about the restaurant is the printed menu which is mounted on a hard surface simulating a Mediterranean Stone/Slab. I will not eat at Ti Amo again and would not recommend this restaurant. After paying the $210 bill, I felt cheated.
Pros: Ambience
Cons: Service, Food, Value

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic in every aspect. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and though we were an hour early for our reservation, we were seated promptly. The manager then came and greeted us at our table instantly. He was extremely personable and friendly. We were then greeted by our server not too long after that and descriptively told us about the specials for the day. Before our food came, we were served their famous bread which I'd have to admit was spectacular! I know it's just bread but it was honestly the best bread I've ever had at a restaurant. I had the crab stuffed ravioli and my boyfriend had the linguine with pesto. The ravioli was amazing and the pesto linguine was average. This loved this entire experience. The decor and atmosphere of the restaurant was great and flexible (both romantic and casual). The entire staff down to the bus boy was extremely courteous, professional, and friendly. Excellent restaurant in its entirety, I highly recommend it!!!
Pros: Atmosphere, service, parking, food, pretty much everything!
Cons: none

My husband and I went to Ti Amo to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We sat out on the balcony area, which was so romantic and secluded. We got to look out and see the wonderful surroundings. The ambience was so romantic and pleasant. And, the service is wonderful. We were never low on wine, bread, anything. Scott took such great care of us, and his recommendations were right on! My husband had the chilean sea bass cooked on a cedar plank with julienne vegetables. The combination was so exquisite. You could taste the smoked flavor from the cedar plank but not too overpowering to take away from the flavor of the sea bass or the vegetables. And, I had the filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes surrounded my a portobello mushroom sauce, which was so amazing. The Manager, Scott, even came out to make sure we were doing well and to wish us a happy anniversary. They then brought us a little dessert to help celebrate the occasion.
The entire evening was an absolute delight. We have definitely found the place we would love to celebrate our special occasions. I would recommend this place to everyone looking for a romantic and cozy evening with great service.
Pros: food, wine, service, ambience
Cons: a little crowded

I was underimpressed by TiAmo. First, we had difficulty navigating to our table due to the cramped tables and chairs. Our small dinner party was unable to have a conversation because the other guests were so loud, and the tables were so very close together. I was struck by someone's chair while trying to walk to the restroom. To top it off, a patron must enter a small hall that connects to the kitchen, while you wait for your turn in the single man/woman restroom, there is literally nowhere to stand that you aren't getting stepped on and bumped by multiple peole going in and out of the kitchen. The floors are very uneven, sloped and slippery. Other tables had lighted candles while we sat by the front section which was drafty and cold. No candles, very little ambiance. All in all, a disappointment.
Pros: lovely menu items, food was exceptional.
Cons: Almost everything else. Poor layout, restroom close to kitchen, floors uneven.
