I can not count how many time I have been in Las Brisas for Breakfast. If the weather is nice, you should definitely try the table outside. Eating Breakfast while enjoying the sun and the sea breeze. This is what being a Californian is all about. This place is always packed during the weekend. The avg wait is about 30-45 minutes without reservation and the breakfast buffet stops around 11:00 with the final seating call at 10:30am. There, you will have to get there early.
In the restaurant, you will have the typical morning buffet with omelet station, fruits, warm food plates (egg bandits, crispy beacon, ...etc.) and breads. the quality of the food are not too bad. With a window seat, you will be able to enjoy the S. Cal beach scenery while you eat. After the breakfast, it is always a good idea to walk along side the beach to burn some of the calories.

The food is just kind of ok here. Its traditional mexican, and you can get pretty much anything you want and you will not go away hungry or unhappy. But, the thing everyone really comes here for is the stunning view. My family and I routinely bring our visiting friends here. It makes a great place to go for happy hour, to have a few margaritas and watch the sun set over the Pacific. Gets very crowded because of the location, so come early or be prepared to wait.

I've only been to Las Brisas for dinner once, as it can be a little high depending on what you have, but it was delicious and I can't wait to go again. I've been to the breakfast buffet a few times, and it's great. For around $11 or so a person you get everything from eggs to yogurt to belgian waffles. And you can't beat watching the surf in the morning with a good cup of coffee on the patio.
