The Sushi house has several different locations around the auburbs....The sushi there is good and so is the atmosphere but it is way over priced. One day I spend like 70.00 for 2 people with no alcohol...and i though as did my boyfriend way to expensive...The waitresses are a little stand offish, not rude but not friendly either.
Pros: Sushi is good and so is the ambiance
Cons: Way over priced waitsaff a little stand offish

I am traveling from Germany and have been told by my friend that there is a very good sushi restaurant in the west suburb of Chicago called Sushi House. It did not disappoint me at all! The restaurant is closed to the Metro train station (La Grange Road). It is not big but very cozy. Their Sushi and Sashimi are very fresh. I love the rice too. It is a little bit sourer than what I had in Germany but this makes the Sushi taste better. I am really impressed of their many choices of rolls. I had only tried California rolls before in most of the Sushi restaurants I've been to. But here you can get something very creative and tasty, such as dragon roll, crunchy roll, godzilla roll, etc. In short, you name it, they have it:-)
Some other minor points: The waitress is helpful and freindly. The restroom is clean. The price is reasonable when considering the freshness of their products. Anyway, if you do like Sushi, you must not miss this restaurant when you visit Chicago!
Pros: Fresh and tasty sushi, sashimi and rolls. A lot of parking space. Close to the Metro train station.
Cons: Had to wait a few minutes during their busy time at night.

The sushi is fresh and consistant, but the prices are way too high. They need to realize that they are not pushing any sushi boundaries.
A good place for a quick lunch or carry out.

Sushi House may not be the cheapest sushi place in Chicagoland, but it is fresh and good. Service is friendly though not really attentive. To me, that makes the place all the more authentic.
Pros: Easy parking, Fresh sushi, Good specials
Cons: Decor is drab, Service is "Asia-like

The restaurant has great food, unfortunately, the dining experience erases the good impression immediately. The staff seems to be wandering around the place cluelessly, and yet is still capable of getting all our orders incorrectly. I had to actually get up to get a knife, after the arrogant-looking teenage server waved her hand irritably in answer to my "excuse me?".How hard is it to bring a set of cutlery, not to mention napkins or water refill?! Our mood was ruined-this is one place we are not going back to!
