My husband and I go out to eat every other Friday and we were looking for something different. We usually have Mexican or Chinese. Neither of us had a taste for either of those. I suggested we go to downtown LaGrange and try one of the restaurants in the downtown area. We decided to meet right after work. I parked on the north end and my husband parked on the south end. He called me on my cell to tell me that he got out of his car and the most heavenly smell of roasted garlic hit him when he walked past a little restaurant called Via Bella. We decided to try it. We were not sorry. The wait staff brought us fresh Italian bread, olive oil with a taste of garlic and whipped butter. I ordered one of the night's specials. The Chicken Maria. It consists of 3 generous pieces of chicken breast covered in lemon butter and crab meat sauce. Under the chicken is angel hair pasta. I took one bite and I swear I was transported to heaven. My taste buds were alive. I thought there wouldn't be enough on my plate to satifsy me, but I was wrong. I took half of the food home and enjoyed the leftovers later in the evening. The wait staff was very friendly. My water glass and beverage was continuously filled. The atmosphere was perfect. The lighting gave the restaurant a romantic feeling. I can't wait to go there again.

We've been to the Orland Park location many times and decided to try out the other location in downtown LaGrange. We ordered our usual and the food was just as good as the Orland Park location. The service was prompt and our server was friendly and professional. The food came out nice and hot. We ordered dessert... fried ice cream of course and it was to die for! I've never had a tastier or bigger fried ice cream than this one! My wife and I hung around after dinner for a few margaritas. My wife had a "swirl" which was frozen margarita swirled with frozen sangria and it was TASTY!! If we are in this area again we'll be back... otherwise we will continue to dine at the other location. Keep up the great work people!
Pros: Authentic Mexcian food, the best margaritas, friendly staff!
Cons: NONE

The food at Mark's is great. The meat they use comes out extremely tender and flavorful, the Mexican rice is authentic, & the shrimp is to die for. I recommend that you give them a try. As for the drinks, I didnt find them to be over priced. Their prices are competitive. The bartenders are very nice.
Pros: There is a quiet restaurant area away for the bar where you can sit, so bring family.
Cons: You have to wait for the bartender to come over to the restaurant side to take your order, but its worth the wait.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I have been going here for the past year and just about once a week some times more. Never have I had a bad experience with food or wait staff. The dinning room is relaxing, elegant yet casual. The people who dine here are so friendly and the wait staff makes a point to ask your name and remember it, which always makes you feel welcome. My husband and I have tried every thing from the pasta to fish to steak it is all wonderful! If you like hamburgers OH MY THE BEST!!!!! Thick tender and the juice will run down your hand YUM. They have a house dressing which is very good and my husbands favorite and also the old fashion carriers with a variety of dressing at your table.
There is live music every day except Sunday and Tuesday is open mike night which can be fun too. The bar area is large, has a light fare menue or you can ask for the full menu, with 2 TV's and is a great place to see a game.
This is also a great place for lunch and the lunch menu is very affordable. Soups are great and there is always a nice variety of specialty salads. (Try the crab salad my husband had it last week and we could not believe how large the pieces of crab were in it.
Must try: For romance you have to get the chateaubriand for two it is wonderfully presented on a large platter surounded with vegtables just incredible. Of course the hamburger, twice baked potato, freanch opnion soup, chicken scaloppine, chopped steak, filet, salmon, brie and fruit plate ok I could list the full menu here so I better stop.
This place has it all!!! Great food, great staff and great entertainment. If your in the burbs it is a must eat at kind of place!!!
Pros: Friendly staff, great food, Live music
Cons: NONE

I know it's not hip to be a suburbanite but I'll stack this suburban breakfast house up against any found in the Metro! In addition, the staff is abundant and very friendly and the food comes out so fast you will hardly beleive it. Seriously! This is a great thing for us burbs dwellers with our 2.3 kids and very limited time in a restaurant. I couldn't recommend this place more, I've eaten here several dozen times and never had a less than exceptional meal. The El Diablo omelette is kickin with several types of peppers, chorizo, rice, beans and tortilla's. I want one now!
Pros: Great food, service and super quick!
Cons: Often on a wait but it moves fast

This is a small store front place that has one or two tables, but is really for take out. When ever I get a craving for Won Ton soup this is where I head. They give you so much soup is it a meal in itself. Everything else I have had form here has been just as good as the soup.

I went into Harry's for the Bears-Seahawks game. There was an electric feeling in the air as the bar was rockin and rollin with every Bears score! T Shirts and hats were being given away, and they must of had over 40 tv's playing the game with the sound on. We ate some homemade pizza and wings and it was excellent! They also have a beer garden playin tunes with bean bag games that where free. They also had awesome specials everday of the week! I will be there for every game!!
Pros: Great Beer Specials
Cons: Cant think of one!

I was at cafe 36 in LaGrange with my wife and three friends on Sat 01/17/09. What a great dining experience. The food was excellent, as was the service. No long waiting and very attentive wait staff. All my friends had the same feelings. This was my second time there since the Chef Ramsey show. The restaurant was busy on Saturday night, I think the show has helped for business.
The owners Terry & Carol are the nicest, most sincere people you will ever meet. Have to say if you have not checked it out yet, give Cafe 36 in LaGrange, (suburb of Chicago) a try, you will not be disappointed.
