What we liked about this place was the relatively simple menu and the thin crust pizza. It was very similar to the pizza we had on our various trips to Italy. The crust is thin and the bottom is crispy and the toppings are not overpowering. It is a healthy, delicate food item - not the heavy, cheap, macho, fat and starchy item in the typical American pizza joint.
Their other menu items are also quite good. Don't miss the Brussel Sprout Salad (seasonal). I don't even like B.S. but this is very good.
Their Braised Short Ribs is outstanding and so is their leg of lamb.

I was very excited to try this newer restaurant in Lafayette. The atmosphere is very nice - the lighting is dim and there is a buzz in the restaurant. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. The portions were tiny - I could see other patrons also expressing their surprise as to how small the pizzas were. Maybe I'm just a big eater, but in order to get full, we had to order another large pizza. The pizza itself was okay - but not something that would compel me to go back. of what you are paying for here is the atmosphere - not the food.

Who knew that pear on a pizza would be good, but Pizza Antica seemed to perfect that in thier resturant. This place is a nice modern pizza joint in downtown lafayette. The atmosphere is great! It is great for famlies or for friends. They offer a large variety of brick oven pizzas that are very tasty! The price is a little bit more than what you get it if you went to like round tables, but the pizza is a better quality. They pizza's didn't seem to be overly greesy and the salads they offer are great also. We had a group of 6 people and we split two salad amoung the 6 of us. They happily put them all on seperate plates. The service was great and i look forward to going back .

I went here with a group of 6 on a weekday night, without reservations, and it took over an hour wait to get a table. The entire wait staff is very young (high-school aged?) and so lax to the point where it was rude, when it came to service. Water glasses went unfilled for ages, menus took 15 minutes to arrive, another long wait to take our orders. Small requests to the waiter resulted in eyes being rolled, etc. .
Anyway! On with the food. I love thin crust Neapolitan style pizza, but wasn't impressed with this one. It was too dry and sauce was lacking in taste. I also ordered a dish of mussels in pasta, which was probably a mistake in the first place. Resulted in un-fresh shellfish that was tasteless, with a tasteless sauce. yuck.
