The Bon Ton has been family owned and operated for 80 years. It is closed on Wednesdays. If you are looking for a two-acre super market, this isn’t it. I’ve been shopping there since 1970. The store in Kyle burned in 2001. A new building houses the Bonton Market at its present location on Hwy 21. I would describe it as an excellent meat market with the best personal service anyone could expect. The man behind the meat counter will take your custom order for a side of beef, wrap up three slices of bacon or anything in between. And there is a great convenience grocery section thrown in for good measure.

Bon Ton recently moved after a fire burned down the original location. They were always somewhat more expensive than the larger grocery stores. A huge benefit of Bon Ton's is that they had, and still do I believe, a meat processing plant. Their beef and meat was always the freshest in town since it was processed on site and you could custom order cuts for no extra charge. A good grocery store for fresh meat.
