This gift store was one converted out of half of a house. The owner lives in the other half of the house. She has made wonderful use of the space she has to display the cutest and most unique gifts! The store is separated into 2 sections, one that is nearly all Boyds Bears items and the other is everything else. She carries some local crafters' jewellery and gift items as well as a variety of other handcrafted items picked up through crafting events she attends out state. I remember one fall she picked up several cute polymer clay earrings that were darling! Whimsical gifts and unique to Alaska gifts are to be found here as well! Enjoy your shopping experience! Parking is limited to 1 or 2 cars and is difficult at best if there are 2 of you parked at the store. You just have to time it right and try to visit when no one else is there! ;) Well worth a trip to visit Annie at her store though! She is very nice! :)

This is a wonderful place to shop for just about everything. They have baby gifts, lotions, jewelery, kitchen items, some clothes, musical instruments, and even another store that has all furniture. The prices are decent and the quality of the products are very nice. They have a great selection and such a wide variety of items. They have beautiful Christmas items when they are in stock. This is a great place to check out if you are visiting Alaska and you are looking for gifts!

Bases loaded is the only sports and comic collectible store on the entire island of Kodiak. The are located next to The Mall. The offer a wide variety of comics, jerseys, coins, and every type of sports card imaginable. Although the store is small, they have manage to load a very large inventory into it. The staff is also very knowledgable, and can help you find anything you need. They also offer great prices, considering there remote location.

Bear valley golf course is located between Kodiak City and Anton Larson. Due to weather it is only opened from late spring until early fall. The course offers lush fairways and very nice greens. The prices are exceptionally especially if you are active or retired military. Bear valley does offer punch cards which will help cut down on green fees. The view is spectacular, sitting below a mountain and overlooking Buskin Lake

When we lived in Alaska, we stayed at the Buskin River Inn until we got settled in. Kodiak is a small island, but this nice hotel was perfect for us. It has a wonderful dinning room that is very nice and cozy. The food was absolutely the best around. They have nightly specials and even though they are kinds pricey the food is perfect. I would recommend the Angry Chicken Salad...very tasty! They have a nice view and is is very close to the airport. It is not hard to find and is only minutes away from town.

C&F has been doing all repairs and maintenance on our vehicles since 2002 after a bad experience at another shop in town.
They do our warranty work and take care of all the paperwork, never over-charge, and there are never surprises. They do what they say they are going to do at a competitive price.
Repair and maintenance is done in a timely manner, so I am usually not without a vehicle for more than an afternoon. They will pick up and drop off my vehicle at my home, knowing that I have two small children and getting out of the house, especially in bad weather, can be time-consuming and a hassle.
I highly recommend this business.
