This is the perfect place to preorder books, get gifts, and drink coffee all in the same place. They have a lady there that makes her own jewelery and it is so beautiful! They have a wide selection of popular books and alot of good gift ideas. We were always pleased with the service there and got to know the people there very well. Everyone was so nice and the prices were great on coffee and other items. They are easy to find and are located in a small shopping area.

Mack's Sports Shop offers a wide variety of outdoor gear including fishing, hunting and camping gear. Mack's also carries a line of childrens products, including games and toys. Their prices a very reasonable compared to other shops in the area. They are also located in the center of Kodiak, a short walk from the mall. First timers to Kodiak Island will also enjoy their instore panorama, which include a full size deer, and Kodiak Brown bear. The kids love seeing them as well!

The Standing Room Only is a great place to shop for name brand clothing on the island. There really aren't alot of places to shop for women's clothing in Kodiak, but this cute little place has alot of hip clothes for the younger kids. The lady who owns it is very nice and friendly. The prices are pretty good and she always has a clearance rack of clothing that are discounted. She also has alot of purses and dresses that are very nice.

Whether you live in Kodiak or you are visiting and want a souvenir to take home with you, THIS is one place you have to go to. I loved looking around this store! They have a multitude of beautiful local to Kodiak and crafters native to Alaska in general who have prints, originals and framed artwork available for sale here. Also offered are a variety of other handcrafted items ~ ornaments, decorations, baskets, iron-art for gardens, etc. You won't be disappointed in this store at all. After we moved I wished we had purchased more there as keepsakes of our years in Kodiak. It was all high quality and the staff is very helpful and friendly. Parking is limited to about 5 cars but it was rarely very busy when I would go in (I would time it that way!). Be careful if you back out as you are drivingright into traffic. ;)

This gift store was one converted out of half of a house. The owner lives in the other half of the house. She has made wonderful use of the space she has to display the cutest and most unique gifts! The store is separated into 2 sections, one that is nearly all Boyds Bears items and the other is everything else. She carries some local crafters' jewellery and gift items as well as a variety of other handcrafted items picked up through crafting events she attends out state. I remember one fall she picked up several cute polymer clay earrings that were darling! Whimsical gifts and unique to Alaska gifts are to be found here as well! Enjoy your shopping experience! Parking is limited to 1 or 2 cars and is difficult at best if there are 2 of you parked at the store. You just have to time it right and try to visit when no one else is there! ;) Well worth a trip to visit Annie at her store though! She is very nice! :)

They sell traditional Alaskan gifts such as Ulu knives, canned salmon, Salmonberry jam, and of course the required T-shirts and fleece jackets.
During Christmas season Norman's has the best selection of ornaments and accessories in town to make your tree and home just right for the season.

This store rocks! They offer high quality Mexican Imports and the owners are great to visit with! Awesome customer service!! Their glassware is stunning. There is so much color and life in this store. The prices are extremely reasonable and I always leave with a smile.

Sutliffs True Value Hardware is located on the main road in Kodiak, and is very easy to find. The are the best place to find all your do-it-yourself supplies in the area. They offer everything from appliances to tools, to building supplies. There prices are slightly high due to the high overhead of shipping wood to the island, but overall they are affordable. They have a wonderful staff that are very knowledgeable when it comes to home maintenance and repairs. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
