Their prices a very reasonable compared to other shops in the area. They are also located in the center of Kodiak, a short walk from the mall. First timers to Kodiak Island will also enjoy their instore panorama, which include a full size deer, and Kodiak Brown bear.

Bases loaded is the only sports and comic collectible store on the entire island of Kodiak. The are located next to The Mall. The offer a wide variety of comics, jerseys, coins, and every type of sports card imaginable. Although the store is small, they have manage to load a very large inventory into it. The staff is also very knowledgable, and can help you find anything you need. They also offer great prices, considering there remote location.

Cy's has great customer service and a good selection of sporting goods.
The parking lot is small but I've never had a problem finding a space.
They were great at fitting my older son for ice skates last season and worked well with kids.
They carry a good selection of shoes and clothing---the store is much bigger than it looks when you pull up because it extends into the back and up a level.

Bear valley golf course is located between Kodiak City and Anton Larson. Due to weather it is only opened from late spring until early fall. The course offers lush fairways and very nice greens. The prices are exceptionally especially if you are active or retired military. Bear valley does offer punch cards which will help cut down on green fees. The view is spectacular, sitting below a mountain and overlooking Buskin Lake
