I am new to Kodiak Island and have been really enjoying the time I have here so far. I had heard about this resturant in Kodiak that was known for it's good food and great service. I decided to check it out. My husband and I went at dinner time and had just beat the rush. Even though the hostess told us that we would have a short wait we didn't at all. It was maybe 5 min. We than got served right away for are drink orders and our menus. The prices I thought were a little high for somethings such as their steak,shrimp. But then again it is Alaska. I ended up getting a pasta that was really good. And my husband had ordered a burger. For the price you do get a lot of food. I ended up taking some of my pasta home and I know my husband was so full I thought I was going to have to roll him out. The service was all together good. We had to wait a bit for refills but then she was on top of it after a reminder. I did visit the bathrooms and they were very clean and fresh. The inside of the resturant is so down to earth and relaxing. I really like that. I don't agree that if you sit in the bar area not up at the bar but the tables surrounding the bar area you have to be 21 years of age. I think that is silly. If I have a friend come here to visit me and she isn't 21 yet we can't sit at thoughs tables. I don't understand their polocy with this but I guess they have reasons. But anyways, my experience all together was really good. I would relate this to a Kodiak Island Style Outback Steakhouse.

Henry's is a landmark of Kodiak. It offers a great environment, a large choice of beer and mixed drinks, and some of the best food on the Island. They have a large center bar with seating available around the outside. Henry's offers everything from seafood, to steaks, to unbelievable appetizers. They also offer pulltabs, and great music. Henry's is located on The Mall in the downtown area, which gives great access to shopping
