The Apple Cake Tea Room is truly a treasure. Housed in a charming log cabin, this is a great place for lunch. The daily quiche special is always awesome, but it's their signature chicken salad house specialty that is really the treat here. It comes with nice mixed fruit in a sweetened gel and the best banana bread in the world! And even better - it's smeared with generous portion of cream cheese frosting. The bread is a nice accompaniment to the chicken salad entrée. Plus, the spiced tea and mini-muffins served as you wait are great too.

It sounds girly, and yes, it is! I can't get my husband to go there, but it's a great place for tea with your girlfriends. I absolutely love their chicken salad in a pineapple boat (I think that's what it's called). It's so much fun! The apple cake is delicious. Enjoy!

The Apple Cake Tea Room is a quaint lunch spot in Farragut. As the name implies, they are fairly famous for their apple cake dessert (Delicious!) and their apple bran muffins served before your meal. I have never been upset with the food here, good quality and fairly good selection. There are only two gripes: One, the glasses they serve their beverages in are TINY! One can barely get anything to drink from them after they are filled with ice. And Two, the tables can become uncomfortable for someone with any height. They add significantly to the ambiance, but guys beware of many good hits to the knee.
