This is a must do if you are looking for a casual local soul food spot. It's in an old Taco Bell building on the wrong side of town, but completely safe. Family owned and operated, they have things like sweet potatoes and turnips greens every day. If you don't mind leaving the "trendy" side of town, this place will not disappoint.

As an out of towner, I visited this restaurant and found the owners and employees to be very pleasant and courteous. It is unusual to find a decent place that has wonderful food and great Christian music. Prices are very reasonalbe especially for the amount of food you receive. Restaurant is neat and clean and the other customers sure showed me 'southern hospitality' at its best. I would highly recommend this restaurant to any hungry traveler and on my next visit with my fellow executives our dinner stop will be at Chandler's Deli.
