LWYSA is a great organization to join in Kirkland. Almost all the kids in Washington are involved in soccer- and the LWYSA is great way to join a team and play soccer against and with your friends. Leagues form during the summer and the teams are organized and start in September. The organization runs mostly by volunteers- and they could always use additional coaches, referees, managers, and team help. Your child will learn the fundamentals of soccer as well as exercise and have a great time playing in the rain or sunshine. Payment is for the entire season although there are usually some additional expenses such as team parties and trophies. There are scholarships available for those in financial need.
