My husband and I took the Newborn Care Class through Evergreen Hospital when we were expecting our first child. This was a one evening class taught by a nurse. The class was a waste of time and money. The first thing the instructor told us was that she wouldn't be demonstrating anything and we wouldn't be practicing anything because hands-on practice was covered in the Newborn Class available in the maternity ward after you give birth. So, all she did was lecture on the same information you can find in any baby book. I was hoping to at least practice some diapering or bathing or something! A total waste of time (however, perhaps a different instructor would conduct the class differently).
