Once again, we (my wife and I) were dazzled at Cafe Juanita. We even got a brief chat in with the owner/chef Holly, who gave me a recipe for one of my favorite pasta dishes they make.
This place continues to be at the top of our list for the best in the greater Seattle area.
We had the Italian sea bass for the second time, and this dish alone is worth a trip. Wine pairing by our waiter was perfect, and what is really nice is that they allow you to try out several wine-by-the-glass to make sure you get the right match to each dish. I'm sure other places are willing to do this, but I have yet to be offered this very small touch of service.
Though you will lay down some cash to eat well here, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this establishment to anyone.
Go visit if you havnet and comment on your trip.

The atmosphere is really nice, lots of space, not a bad seat in the place. Small menu (I like this) so that you are forced into a great meal. nice ambience. The restaraunt is northern italian and has an extensive wine list. The food is wicked awesome, and for us, worth the price (cause its pricely).
on the night we went, we ordered the following off the menu: octopus antipasta, with an herb, fennel and chickpea base; simple salad with vinnegrette; tagliatte pasta with morels; braised duck with lentils and cherrys. I dont do justice to the description at all, but you get the idea I hope. I asked the waiter to server me a glass of white to start, and red with dinner. He did a great job at this, and here is one thing I loved: he let me try some wine before committing. love that touch.
some more points: there was no rush to get in and out. It actually had the pace of a meal enjoyed in Firenze. Parking was easy. Quiet location. Romantic.

Cafe Juanita is tucked away in a small unobtrusive building, but don't let this fool you. The food is amazing! Definitely a place for elegance and fine dining. It is romantic and quaint, but the Northern Italian food is beyond belief! They usually take one seasonal ingredient and put it into a host of special dishes, but it is all quite unique and wonderful. Definitely a recommended place for a special occasion. Make reservations!

Cafe Juanita is tucked away behind Starbucks and the new shopping complex that came with it. I believe it sits in front of a creek in a patch of trees...pretty cool place. The food is kinda pricy, but it's really good. I don't have any specific suggestions for you this time! I've been here a few times with my mom and I've yet to be disappointed. Dress to impress, most of the people I've seen inside were wearing suit and tie.

This restaurant is one of the best secrets in the Kirkland area. The food is absolutely amazing and surprises me every time. There is a very diverse menu full of many different types of food to try. Their appetizers are seriously good enough to eat as a whole meal alone. There are many different favors and tastes to experience and this is a very fun place to take a date.

This is an amazing restaurant. This review will sound very gushy because I love it there. First of all, it's a beautiful dining room that overlooks a bunch of apple trees. It has an open kitchen but what goes on back there seems to be completely seamless - and silent! Have you ever been to a place where you didn't hear pots and pans clanking? They don't make noise here. The service is impeccable. The food is amazing. They use fresh, local ingredients. Try to have several small courses so you can try lots of dishes. I can't pinpoint my favorite thing there. It's nice to know that it's consistently fabulous. Oh, maybe my favorite was the pot de creme - or the risotto - I can't decide.
