I've had Micro-Derm before, but here they basically did a full facial plus a Micro-derm, and I could feel the difference immediatly. I was also pleasantly surprised that she answered questions I had even before I asked them! Wow. I left feeling very smart about what choices I had, and how to take good care of my skin now. I was looking for a place to get my hair cut when i moved over to Kirkland, and found this wonderful sanctuary. I feel like I am in Paris when i'm in there - and I love how Angela cuts and foils my hair - She is very friendly, and has consistently given me good hair cuts. I am a type of person who doesn't like to talk while getting my hair cut, and she doesn't ask a lot of questions, which is nice. But i'm sure she'd love to talk, if that was your style.

After many years of not knowing what to do with my hair I went to Haleh on a friends recommendation. WOW! I had experiences in the past where hairdressers would laugh in my face if I asked them what hair cut would look good on me and I always ended up with this "Fine" hair cut. It wasn't great or new at all. It didn't match my personality or my facial structure like I always wanted. ALL that changed when I went and saw Haleh. She is WONDERFUL! She actually listens to you and takes what you say and what she knows about hair and you walk out feeling like a million bucks with out even paying a million like some top dollar salons I've been too.
I have been to MANY places and I will never go anywhere else! I love Haleh!

I've been to the Sanctuary Spa for facials and pedicures. They offer many other services including massages and the typical offerings of spas, along with a yoga studio next door.
When you drive up and see it's in a strip mall, across from a movie theater, you may be concerned about the atmosphere. Wait til you get inside. You'll forget you're anywhere near civilization. I've never heard traffic or anything else going on in the rooms outside of mine.
You'll be ushered down a hallway along side a stream built into the floor. Accept the cucumber water, even if you're not thirsty. It's delicious. A room will be prepared for you with two fluffy white bathrobes so you can have the size you desire. There will be massage slippers and a basket to place your clothes and belongings into.
Next, you spend some time in one of the steam showers. There are two in each changing room, one with lights and painted brightly and one dark and painted black for that dark, steamy experience.
After you've steamed yourself, put on your robe and slippers and wait for your technician to come and get you.
Back out to the hall area for you foot bath/massage that is included with your facial.
Last year they offered the pumpkin facial which makes your skin amazingly soft and makes you look forward to thanksgiving. I went earlier this year and it wasn't available but it might be back as we get into November.
The technicians are discreet, leaving the room while you climb into the warm, soft bed. After the skin analysis, it's very quiet and relaxing.
After the facial, you proceed to your next service or out to the hallway where you get a warm plum drink. Again, take it. It's good.
Prices are comparable or slightly higher than some other spas but well worth it for some pampering.

I followed my regular hair stylist when she changed salons to Holly James Salon in Kirkland (right next to Park Place Cinema) and was astonished at the relaxation I felt! I am not one for Salon gossip, and Holly James was so above and beyond the other place I had been going. Holly herself was there, professional and kind. I get my hair and eyebrows done there, and have had to stop by for 'emergencies' in beauty, and there is always someone spectacular to help me out! Woman to woman they understand. The music was great, people were wonderful, I love it there! Makes you feel how you should feel in a salon!

Try the Chinese Healing Massage - It's like being reborn again. So different than any other massage I've gotten.
The Reflexology treatment made my sore plantar fascitis problem disappear and the blissful hand & foot rescue was heavenly.
I saw 2 Seahawks there while I was at the spa. They obviously know what they're doing.
Definitely check it out.

I have had massages at various spas locally and in resort areas and I have to say that Carmen Roberts is the best massage therapist I have ever been to. She was able to releive pain that no other therapist has been able to work out. My boyfriend is also a client and since going to her he has had less frequent back pain. This spa and Carmen are very highly recommended.

Wonderful, quaint spa in the Kirkland/Juanita area. The triple treat package is a great way to "try" the spa out to see if it fits your style and comfort. The staff is knowledgable, kind and professional. I get so many compliments on my skin...I've had microderm abrasion, fotofacials and botox and my skin looks and feels fantastic. I highly recommend this spa to anyone who desires a little pampering and a new, fresh glow.
Pros: Great staff, fun location, easy access
