My wife and I chose this restaurant because it was the closest place to our parking spot and it was raining. That being said, it would've been worth a little more effort. It was empty at 12pm on a Friday, and I guess unsurprisingly, the food was terrible, the restaurant was dirty, and the service was non-existent.
Hopefully, the management will read this and make some changes, but until then I'd steer clear of this place.
Pros: location
Cons: dirty, watered down curry, no service

It had the signs - it was empty at 12pm for lunch. The owner (or manager) was on the phone making personal phone calls. A big sign outside advertised the "ALL YOU CAN EAT" aspect. Still, I was in the area and wanted a quick meal.
The rice was definitely a few buffets old - revived with oil and not perfectly hot. The labels on the buffet table did not necessarily correspond to the items actually there. The chicken was chewy, almost uneatable. The naan was served hot, but almost everything else was average at best.
It is sad to see one poorly managed Indian restaurant after another. Pabla in Issaquah is the only Indian restaurant on the eastside I would actually go back to.
Pros: Location maybe?
Cons: Food

The food at Raga could not be better. The garlic naan always comes out hot and the quality of the meats, sauces and spices are above and beyond any other Indian restaurant that I have ever been to. I cannot say enough about that--the chicken is always high quality, and the way the dishes are put together are perfect.
If you are going for the first time, I recommend: Tikka Marsala, Shahi Korma, Kadhai and of course a naan of your choice. The owner always greets customers with a smile. He has a coupon in the "entertainment 07" coupon book, in which the customer receives repeat savings every time he or she eats there. Well worth it! I hope that you check it out!
Pros: Flavor, friendly staff
Cons: None

Having only recently discovered Raga my family is hooked. While the service could be friendlier, the quality of our server was outstanding. The lunch buffet is uncrowded, and has a very good variety. We love the fresh watermelon and fruit that most local buffets skimp on. For dinner we have found their entrees to be well portioned, and with a good level of spiciness. The Pakoras and Samosas were all very good, as was the potato naan. Overall I am very happy with my experiences at Raga, and I hope others make this discovery as well.
Pros: Excellent food, wide variety of food in buffet
Cons: Doors and bathroom could be spruced up

Nice food, good service, good music too! But not such a great ambience. They can do better on it. Have been a couple of times here. Priced just about average. Enjoyed the food and music that plays in the background. The restaurant is very close to the lake, so ideal for an evening stroll after dinner with your date! On the whole gives a very good feeling!
PROS: Nice food, avg prices, nice location
CONS: Ambience can be improved

We hadn't been to Raaga for a long time, so decided to go there for dinner. We ordered Vegetable Pakoras (the manager took our order), and forgot about it. Eventually our food arrives, but no pakoras. I point this out to him and he sheepishly says he's sorry and then adds: "Our vegetable pakoras are not too good anyway"!!! Moreoever when the food arrived, the server had not put dinner plates on our table, and some silver-ware was missing.
We ordered two dishes and a lacchedar paratha. One of the dishes was a tandoori dish ("Chicken Malai Tikka"). This dish was extremely bland - no flavor at all - seemed almost like boiled chicken. The lacchedar paratha was good though.
Perhaps this is targeted towards american palates (food was blander than in other indian restaurants), but the service was nothing to write home about.

The food is quite good, and I very much enjoy Indian- so I have some to compare to. There are vegetarian variations available as options on many dishes. The use of spice and cooking of vegetables is well done. Meat dishes also well done. Atmosphere is almost romantic, with a large real fireplace and dimmer lighting. Staff is very courteous- another review nocks the staff at the Bellevue location. I don't know about that. At this place, they are excellent.
Pros: Good food, Nice atmosphere, Polite Staff
